Something has to be done. This could be anyone's wife tomorrow. Sickest story I have heard was that was true. A baby boy died on childbirth as he slipped off the hands of the nurse who brought him out of the mother. This happened in an hospital in Lagos. |

May the soul of the dead woman, rest in peace, but be that as it may be, frm the late husband's story, he never said any thing about money, could it be dat he does not have anofe money to deposit to the hospital management, secondly, I read where they told him that the wife needed blood, due to the fact dat she was bleeding seriously, all thesame, it is incompentency on the side of the doctor, for not been there wen needed. |

The Husband should also sue the MDCN for granting the Indian Doctor the Licence to practise without administering appropriate Exams to ensure competence! I know tens of my colleagues who were WEEDED OUT of Medical School only to return with some foreign certificates and start setting up practice here and there! PS: If JOHESU hadn't been on strike, he would have taken her to a Govt Hospital where trained midwives would have attended to her! But Govt would still not honour a 5yr agreement she signed! Ok na, Make We they Die Like Fowls since we no get brain for this country!! 1 Like 1 Share |

evil999: Nigerians and their knack for blaming the victim. Smh. Do you know how deep or empty his pocket is? Also, who says it's not one of the 'better' hospitals in the area? And why is government allowing quacks thrive in our land? Is it not their responsibility to make sure that quacks are obliterated off our lives? 2 Likes |

bushdoc9919:Not necessarily Doc,except in the case of expected difficult delivery ab initio,a CERTIFIED midwife will do.In this case there was probably a CPD.The lady in question did not have a proper antenatal care, this contributed to her death.I advice every pregnant woman to register to a good hospital early in pregnancy for antenatal care. Here any comorbid condition that could affect delivery will be detected and taken care of on time to avoid unnecessary morbidity or mortality after delivery. 1 Like |

KingTom: u are a pathetic liars! u don't talk like a science student not more a "doctor ". ...the woman did surgery somewhere and after weeks or months as u explain, she started having pains etc then u did ur magic. I challenge ur story because if its TRUE, the pains will be there even immediately after the surgery and the wound wont heal. do u know the size of scissors and gloves? do u think that such foreign materials will be in someone body and the person will just go home only to present to u later for just pains? tell ur story to the marines 7 Likes |

bushdoc9919: devour129: Not every Nigerian can afford this. This is the norm, an ob/gyne should be the attending doctor and a pediatrician should be easily gained accessed to just incase. But this is a luxury for an average nigerian |

The hospital need be shut down for now and investigated. If found guilty of misappropriated acts then the owners should be tried in court accordingly. |

LASG has to get serious about the regulation of these Indian doctors in Nigeria. I have been hearing tales about how the deathcrate of patients who come in for kidney transplant is rising at St. Nicholas since they got foreign (Indian) experts to ramp up the number of Ops. Even the post op care has dwindles in quality. fashola and Idris, pls do the needful. |
