Pleasure without conscience.

I am constrained to follow the line of argument raised by Chief Christopher Kolade, the man, we all agree, has unimpeachable character, and based on that, President Jonathan appointed him to pioneer the so-called safety net to cushion the pains of increase in fuel pump price in 2012. So, if such a man of impeccable character spanks any political leader, he must be taken serious, as suggested by a columnist, Simeon Kolawole.

Kolade said it loud and clear that Jonathan has failed in his capacity to provide leadership, wondered why Mr. President would be dancing Azonto in Kano, when some psychopaths were murdering young school boys in Yobe. He could not come to term with a leadership that was too timid to show up in Borno,
even if it is just to encourage the military boys, who are using their blood to keep the country’s name.

Honestly speaking, Mr. Jonathan should be paid by Buhari for making him the hottest of the presidential materials in town. Just take a look at the Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces that finds pleasure in the fortress of the highly-fortified presidential villa, eating with N1 billion and dashing golden iPhones to guests, who graced his adopted daughter’s wedding in Otuoke, when daughters of countrymen are wasting away in the hands of terrorists in Sambisa Forest.

In their pleasure, stealing is different from corruption, and who cares, if $20 billion could not be accounted for in the federation accounts, what matters is that a minister must buy two BMW cars for N250 million, and another Dame of oil must use another $10 million dollars for hiring of private jets for her engagements.

Look, the Aso Rock tenants are too comfortable to know the suffering of the masses. So, Jonathan presidency is as guilty as Adam to the forbidden tree of Biblical story. Mr. President has shown to us sufficiently that he could not think beyond the box.

Unfortunately, he is in short supply of good Advisors, who could make him to take good decisions. As a result, the nation has become a butt of joke in an international arena. Ditto for the tragicomedic angle of the iron lady of the villa, whose uses of syntax, grammar and morphology have begged for the award among the half-baked. I think Nigerians do not want this kind of Jonathan Presidency, and it will be a good decision to sack him from the job by 2015.

We have petroleum here, yet we have a government that claims to be subsidizing imported finished premium motor spirit, where four refineries built by the military regimes have been left to rotten. Today, government contractors, businessmen and governors, who could not pay salaries of workers were made to cough out N22 billion for re-election of Jonathan in an economy that is on “life support”, yet the lies in the media continue with magistrate swagger.
