Army Commander, Author Of Scandalous Letter, Threatened by Vikkie14: 7:51pm On Dec 23, 2014
The army commander, who wrote the infamous “Why We Couldn’t Defeat Boko Haram” letter, is under threat.

It would be recalled that in the letter published last week, the military representative addressed President Goodluck Jonathan explaining that corruption, maladministration and some other problems hindered the counter-terrorism campaign in the country.

According to Sahara Reporters’ freshest update, Lieutenant Colonel A. Wende of the 103 Battalion, who wrote the piece, received threats from the army authorities that he would face court martial unless openly denounced the letter.

Wende however refused to do that, because such move would be contrary to his principles.
The damning letter contained the allegations against Wende’s superiors. In particular, he narrated how the General Officer commanding the 7th Battalion in Maiduguri was diverting over 600 bags of rice meant for the troops.

Interestingly, it has been recently learned that the army’s Defence headquarters however started secret investigation of the “600 bags of rice” allegation following the letter release.

Wende also disclosed that military tops, including the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Minimah, do not go anywhere near the battlefronts.

Reacting to the scandalous document, Minimah claimed on monday that the letter was fake and had been written by Boko Haram associates.

Minimah claimed yesterday that the letter was fake.
. I think we all know these are part of the issue Military are dealing with. Shortage of Munition and maybe lack of Strategist is also one of the problem the Army is facing. And Mr Minimah, you don't have to term that Fake, so far we believe its a problem you people are facing. Wake up to the call and do something. Or have you forgotten that "IT'S GOD DUTY TO FORGIVE(terrorist), YOURS IS JUST TO MAKE SURE THEY ATTEND THE MEETING".
