The Department of State Services (DSS), has
warned the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi
Amaechi, and other politicians, who may be
making “unguarded statements and utterances”
ahead of the 2015 elections, to desist forthwith,
or face the full wrath of the law.
It said “those seeking to truncate the nation’s
democracy by their careless and obviously
mischievous utterances and actions”, should
retrace their steps, in the interest of peace.
Though, the secret service did not mention
Amaechi in a statement signed by its Deputy
Director of Public Relations, Ms Marilyn Ogar, it
was clear he was the subject of reference,
against the backdrop of a statement credited to
the Rivers Governor, who is the Director General
of the Major General Muhammadu Buhari
Campaign Organisation.
While commenting on the death-by-firing-squad
sentenced passed on 54 soldiers by a General
Court Martial (GCM), Amaechi was widely
quoting as saying last week in Lagos, that: “The
challenge of the Nigerian military is not funding
but corruption. Now they want to kill some 50
officers for their own failure to equip them
properly to fight terrorism.
“The soldiers have the right to protest for the
federal government’s failure to fully equip them.”
A statement signed by Ogar, however, warned
that the service and other security agencies will
not tolerate inciting comments, which she noted,
are intended to undermine the federal

SSS was a very honour and secret security agent in nigeria. It is a shame that PDP has politicize it and make it appear ridiculed with no little command of respect by the nigeria citizen.

Am ashame of DSS coz they are disgrace to the body of inteligence.

A PDP Governor was caught on video admonishing his supporters to crush any opposition like cockroaches, yet the DSS didn't release any warning to him now it's Amaechi you all have regained your voices. Although I don't support Amaechi's statements, he specifically stated that the conditions for his actions were if the elections were rigged by PDP as usual....Is DSS meant for the opposition party only??

Almost everybody who donated at GEJs Fund Raising donated more than 1 Million Naira contrary to the Electoral Act and should be undergoing prosecution right now but up till today no Security Agency has taken the responsibility to prosecute the violators...The Police Force said they weren't aware, INEC shamelessly denied they also weren't aware of the donations and the DSS definitely would never issue statements on such actions. Their sole duty is to attack APC.
