The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has denied endorsing the Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Senator Simeon Ajibola. The monarch condemned a story credited to him by an online medium that he had endorsed the PDP governorship flag bearer. Ajibola, at the weekend, visited the emir in his palace. The emir reportedly described “the emergence of Senator Simeon Ajibola as PDP governorship flag bearer in Kwara as sign of good things to come to the state”.
