Uhmmm hate to break it to you guys that's a dashiki print shirt and it definitely did not originate from Nigeria. In SA we have been wearing such designs infact that design is popular in most African countries.

Wizkid keh! Nothing person no go hear.. Bruhh that cloth was around since maybe the 70s or so. Watch some archive videos you'll keep seeing it. Q-Tip wore this in a video around 2003. If you said BOJ, you'd ve been a bit correct.. Cos that's like his signature cloth before Wizkid made that video.

@OP this fashion trend is modelled after the Tie & Dye fashion back in the early 70s through the late 80s.. it was mostly worn by tourists who fancied it being african but we Nigerians new that with a piece of Calico, twine and some dye you could come up with a boo-boo that a white man will by for 10 times the amount you made it. It rebounded in the early 90s as it was worn by Nigerian and South African reggae Musicians.. It was revamped with print in the early 2000s this is what you see today... No ask me JAMB question abeg

I was going to correct you. Glad you remembered your dad. This is a mode of dressing popular amongst Pan-Africanists in the 60s and 70s: example of course was Fela.
