I still dey here, anyday, anytime

We got to the stream which took us more than two hours. A large stream it was, almost the size of a river.

"this stream big o" Joe exclaimed as we stood on the hill side viewing the stream below . The villagers were washing and swimming in the deeper north side of the stream.

"blue o boy see that babe nyash o" Joe exclaimed and was shut up by the killing glares from his girl.

I turned to get a glimpse of the babe, what i met made me realised that chioma no near this babe for nyash competition, even nicki no near.

The water spanned into the forest passing through a canal. Children were seen around this area signifying it shallowness.

A group of women were washing on a long log of dry wood across the other side of the river. A canoe were two macho men were in was been paddled by one of them sitting on the edge.

My eyes went back to the chubby ukwu babe doing skinny dipping. Her skin glowing in the hot sun. A look at my niggers, they had struggled far away from the bank of the river. They cries had caused commotion as all were looking towards the direction.
The looks on their faces were that of confusion. Shouts were heard from their camp. Ngozi was clapping her hands and jumping, it was hilarious.

Becky was shouting, her hands on her laps, in a dogggy position. Vicky? Her hands were placed on her head, in a frantic mood, she almost Jumped into the river but was held by captain.

Rock was already in the water swimming towards no where, many guys were in too. The macho men with the boat was circling the place, waiting for the drowning fellow to resurface. He did with the biggest tummy a pregnant woman can never have, but didn't make any sound.

The body was quickly fetched out by the rescuing team, admist shout from the crowd gathered at both banks and the crowd in the water. It was obvious, the fellow had ventured into the deeper part and had gotten his reward.

Just then, i realised i hadn't seen Joe since the beginning of the incident. I looked around again, he wasnt in sight, Joe was missing.

I scanned my eyes in a futile effort to locate Joe but the dude was no where to be found.

The drowned guy was brought out and a continuous pushing of his chest and stomach was done. I was a little bit far from the bank they took him to so i couldn't make out the guys face but....he was in the same colour of boxer as Joe.

I advanced a little to the crowded place, surging past the crowd into the small circular space in the middle where the unfortunate Joe was placed i was shocked to discover that my hommi was the drowning guy.

Yes! It was Joe... A moment of silence for him

captain came over to me after i left area.

"flames Joe get luck o" he exclaimed. " after he go dey brag say na im fit swim pass". He said his hands on his head.
Talking about Joe bragging, the guy was so good at it. He did brag that he was the nigga that won gold for Nigeria in the swimming competition at Olympics. A lie that infected the girls with hiccup and the guys with cough. He once said that he was born in a ship aand he once swammed in
the Atlantic ocean where he rescued a female villagers. If Joe was a politician he would have promised that he will build an ocean in Nigeria.

Along came the girls, Becky visibly crying. Like wtf? Was he dead?
The incident cut short our planned swimming adventure, we proceeded to carry the weak guy home. Through out the way home, Becky was still crying, not until we reached home and Joe grinning at me after i served him with the lucozade boost and glucose i bought from iyawos shop.

The poor girl advanced to the guy and felt his temperature with a surprised demeanour. An almost drowned guy grinning? However i let that slip as i went into my room.

I had an afternoon nap, not after calling chinyere who promised visiting anytime soon.

Joe didn't communicate with any one through out the day, not even with Becky who placed her boobbs on his chest. But the guy was obviously having an attention.

The next morning, Joe was up and whistling at the backyard.

Rock gazed at him and said "joe common stream you no no....."

We all threw suprise glances at each other and smiled his madness away.

We had our morning breakfast, after with we strolled out to the backyard. Captain nudged me, saying he wanted to have a word with me. I obliged and we went to the varendah.

" this thing i wan talk dey serious o no joke" he said. I concured, he cleared his voice and mouthed.

" i wan open church, the holyspirit has called me, he said i should preach" i stared at my comrade in shock.

" na you go be assistance pastor, Joe go be choir master, rock go be deacon..the name of the church go 'AT ATTENTION FOR THE LORD CENTRAL MISSION CHURCH'' he said grinning.
