prittigrrr:i agree with what you said here. the quest for money 24/7 on the part of most parents and leaving little johny and sally for tv to baby sit is some other reason for the wahala we see todays kids spoilt |

In nigeria, you need no approval from anyone to beat the hell out of your child but in Yankee, damn it, U need no approval as well coz you are NOT gonna get any, coz of CPS Child Protective Services |

Its not about "spoiling the child" however I do not plan on whacking them every time they do wrong or make a mistake. Perhaps once I have a child I might change my opinion but for now I dont see myself beating them. |

I don't like the way it's been put on this thread. But to be honest, I don't see myself whooping my future babies. I just couldn't do it. I can't see a child crying without wanting to cry myself. Just today my two year old niece fell and hit her nose then proceeded to cry and even though i was mad at her for injuring herself after i warned her to sit down, my own eyes began to water at the sight of her pain. how could i then turn around and inflict pain on a child, esp. one that will be mine and call it "discipline"? |
