During my school days, my lecturer was busy teaching us with passion collection of poems; we created interest in it the way he carried us along. It is unfortunate however that, we all laughed but failed to understand the message therein line by line. It is now that I see the reality of those poems.
THE LOOTERS.
At the beginning, they are seen mounting various foundations used at cajoling the innocent masses under the shoddy foundations, they provide water, provide rice and beans, provide kerosene, provide mobile health services, crawl from dusk to dawn, to canvass for people’s support, to buy people’s conscience, to pollute their minds with sweet, sweet sour promises.
At election time, the innocent masses vote for the gold diggers, unknowingly mortgage their precious bright future. The future of yet unborn generations, elections over-though doctored. They are sworn in driven in exotic cars sirens all over the places. At the mercy of the masses deafening their ears over the treasury.
They sit using pen to slit the wealth that belongs to us all at the chambers, no concrete debate, no genuine motion passed that can benefit the masses that languish in abject poverty on whose back they rode to power.
What a rotten nation to behold.

God Help Nigeria.... Amen
