Mbaka's Anti Jonathan Sermon Makes Brisk Sales by Abagworo(m): 10:08pm On Jan 11, 2015
When the Enugu-based Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike
Mbaka voiced what would go down as one of the
most controversial sermons in Christendom on New
Year Eve, little did he know that he was preparing
meals for video CD vendors in Lagos.
Father Mbaka, who heads the Adoration Ministry,
Enugu had in a message on December 31 called on
President Goodluck Jonathan to abandon his re-
election bid so that the All Progressives Congress
candidate, Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) can
emerge the winner of the presidential election next
month.
The fire-spitting cleric whose 21 minutes 16 seconds
New Year sermon entitled “From Good luck to Bad
luck,” lambasted President Jonathan for failing to
solve the issue of insecurity since he assumed power,
is currently a subject of debate in the nation.

DAILY POST on Friday observed that tape sellers in
Lagos are already making fortunes from both the
video and audio version of the controversial message.
When this correspondent visited Ikotu area of Lagos,
buyers were seen struggling to get hold of the CD,
which was being aired on a TV inside the main
market.
Others who could not afford the N200 were seen
watching the sermon amid serious argument.
Also in Cele Bus top, roadside CD vendors suspended
every other videos for Father Mbaka’s message, while
interested buyers were struggling to get hold of the
CD.
Similarly, in Ojota, another roadside marketer was
seen shouting at the top of his voice saying, “GEJ
Must Go! Father Mbaka spits fire, N200 for full
message”
The video CD jacket was designed with the picture of
the preacher shedding tears with the caption, “GEJ
must Go!”

When DAILY POST inquired from the CD vendor on
the reaction of people on the message, the young
man said he had sold over 3,000 copies since the
message was released on Monday
