When Fashola was selected out of nowhere, people knew little about him, even though he was a major player in the daily affairs of the Lagos state government. During the election we had a choice between Koro and Fashola, imagine if Koro entered, how disastarous would that have been. Fast forward to 2015, when you look at Lagos now and compared it to 2003, we can't help but to be amazed. It's election time again and we are once again presented with an unknown candidate, please keep in mind that this unknown candidate also has valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the Lagos state government, something his opponent cannot boast of. In Lagos, APC has done a decent job but there are so much more that can be done, rome was not built in a day and I believe continuity is the key to sustaining the success of previous years. Sorry Agbaje, PDP's name has been tarnished beyond repair, you are a good man but you rolling with the wrong crowd!

Jimi Agbaje.. I have given up on you as a Candidate for Governor of Lagos State.. so far you have been tackling non-issues when there are core, critical and sensitive issues around the stark realities of Cultural Diversity, Justice and Equality for Lagosians (Non-indigenes Inclusive), Cost of Education, Basic Amenities such as Food and Water, Criminal Actions of Lagos State Agencies from LIRS,LASTMA, KAI and Council Officers, Slow-pace of Development, Domestication of Freedom of Information Bill, Double-Taxation etc.. you pick Toll-Gate as an issue.. surely you are better than this.. you need to be better than this to tackle the present APC-led Government.. you need to step up your game..

I am starting to suspect that Jimi Agbaje is playing the same game Obanikoro, Capt. Shelle, Dr. Ade Dosunmu and Engr. Tokunbo Kamson played during the last election so they can get settled by the PDP-led Government. all na wash wash. please tell me you are above that Jimi Agbaje?

If Mr Agbaje plans to scrap the toll gates, then we should just all vote for Ambode.
If Mr Agbaje doesn't like the toll gate, he should be thinking of expanding the toll free roads.

Six REASONS TO VOTE GEJ

1) Consolidate on the agricultural policy - If all we can achieve in the next 4 years is feed ourselves alone without significant import, it would be equivalent to 31 trillion naira per annum assuming 500 naira per day for 170 million Nigerians for 365 days. That is a massive market with mighty potentials for wealth to average Nigerians and significant employment.

2) Sustain the automobile policies - With five car assembly plants nearing completion as at Dec 2014 and another 10 targeting completion by Dec 2015. We can commence and sustain car assembly. By 2017, the car manufacturers will commence manufacturing of the spare parts in-country. and with the re-invigoration within the power sector and ajaokuta steel plant, this industry will be the soul of manufacturing in the whole of Africa. Nigeria will become a car export country for the region in the next 5 to 6 years

3) Ensure continuity on power roadmap en-route constant power - Nigeria is few years to constant power, with lots of power plants nearing completion already, the ongoing gas assembly plant in Delta state, the ongoing investment by the private investors and the bids in hand for foreign competitors that will be introduced in 2016 .... we cannot afford to distort any of these ongoing plans. The story about constant power will soon be history

4) Ensure true democracy is further entrenched into our society. 4 more years of freedom of speech/ information and free/ fair elections will deepen our democracy for better years. Autocracy, intimidation, press bondage and unfair elections will be alien to us come 2019. And any government afterwards can only continue or better the process because the foundations would have fully solidified

5) Ensure that our infrastructures get the desired attention including our roads, railways, airports etc and sustained for the long term. Ensure that the oil and gas sector is deregulated through removal of subsidy to allow private sector participation with the consequent emergence of numerous refineries and petrochemical industries. Continue set up of the right institutions to fight corruption like the e-wallet system for fertilizer scam, biometric registration for ghost workers scam, pension reforms for pension scam etc.

6) Ensure that our northern brethren get some education through a sustained alamajiri education system. This will further make them productive and less vulnerable to violence and destruction

SEVEN REASONS I WILL NOT VOTE BUHARI

1) It will be a blow on our democracy that we distort a pleasant Nigeria future for a man who ended our nascent democracy 30 years ago

2) The name Buhari is globally associated with Dog, baboon, blood, sharia crusade, death, anarchy, coup plotting, tribal high handedness etc and this cannot be the best fit for Nigeria in 2015

3) The man Buhari has not shown any plan for Nigeria, so far its been a campaign of paying 5000 naira to 25 million Nigerians which is totally laidback and unsustainable. Stabilizing crude oil prices by buhari as promised is also not possible. Feeding the school children is not sustainable and not what Nigeria needs at the moment..... No concrete plans for the Nigeria future

4) Unfortunately, a man that has Obj, Atiku, tinubu, Amaechi etc who have wrecked the Nigerian society as his support base cannot mean change in 2015. He cannot jail the hands that fed him meaning jailing by Buhari can only be sectional and based on favouritism. Buhari is also not open to setting up the right systems and institutions to make corruption in the various sectors almost impossible.

5) It will be a disgrace to Nigeria that a 72 year old retired general who showed open disdain to the Nigeria army for fighting Bokoharam and threw his weight behind bokoharam (http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/buhari-military-offensive-against-boko-haram-anti-north/149256/) will be the president of Nigeria where other nations are joining forces to fight terrorism all over the world

6) How can we have a president whose educational qualification is in contention in 2015? Would it have been easier and better if the requested certification is shown to the electorate?. Even if the certificate exists, calling the bluff of the electorate for whom you beg for their votes is the height of insensitivity on the part of the general at this time.... much more when he is power

7) In this period of Nigerian growth, we cannot go for uncertainties. Though I do not consider this a political point, but a reaction to a Buhari's presidency in the SS through resumed militancy will pull all our growths to a halt and the economic suffering will be unprecedented. Four more years under GEJ will ensure complete diversification of the economy through agriculture, automobile and oil&gas downstream after which an uprising in the SS will have minimal impact to the country's economy

How will he boost revenue though. These PDP people just think every Nigerian is a dullard...... The Toll gate is an ingenious strategy to help govenment make money to develop the state because people barely pay Taxes, the culture isnt yet ingrained..... Plus the people taxed at the toll gate are simply high class citizens who can afford to live on the island..... Like every developed society, the rich pay more taxes....... CHANGE IS COMING SO ALL THESE FOOLISH ATTEMPTS AT SCORING POLITICAL POINTS BECAUSE OUR PEOPLE ARE UNEDUCATED WILL SOON BE OVER. LAGOS STAYS WITH APC

The road doesn't even qualify or certified to have toll.

Lekki Toll collection is broad day fraud ( robbery ) by Tinubu and his boy Fashola.

Good direction Jimi Agbaje.

It is because of people like you that the likes of Tinubu are thriving. Kindly tell me what Fashola's government did in its second term other than planting flowers., with all the taxes they collect in Lagos. They simply spent the states resources on funding Tinubu's campaign of lies and deceit against GEJ. You had better start preparing yourself for a post APC-led Lagos state or you relocate elsewhere.

Stop spreading false rumors Ambode retired to go and prepare for his campaign. He has a letter of commendation from Fashola himself which dates back to when he retired with Fashola commending him for his incredible service to Lagos, you can take a look at the letter on his Facebook page and website. Tell us you man's qualification if he has any instead of trying to pull another man down. angry truth is Agbaje has no achievements to speak off, he knows nothing about governance and has nothing to offer Lagos.

If you are talking about lining godfathers pocket you may want to talk about Agbaje's godfather Bode George the kirikiri graduate.

Haa!! See who's talking about qualifications?? Why don't you tell us about your Presidential flag bearer's qualification 1st. You lot ask for things when it suits you

Must he castigate BRF to proof his point..because we use to the culture of opposition not seeing anything good in the incumbent?Uncle Jimi is Gentle man..won't throw tantrums.
The point he making is that" Fashola has done well but he can do better"..Amboade doesn't necessarily have BRF's DNA.

He can do better? What yardstick did you find that makes you vouch for him.
Apc in the s/west have a good record of fielding performers. Ambode will be the continuity. I dont need a change of Party.

Other governors are busy planing our to increase the state internally generated revenue, Mumu Agbaje is planing to reduce it.
Other governors are busy planning on how to maintain road with the monies collected on it, Mumu Agbaje is planing otherwise.
Am not surprised because PDP has failed Nigerians woefully.

This shows how ignorant he is... Then what happens to the concession with LCC? Do u know dat even the 2nd Niger Bridge would be tolled when completed? And more roads would be tolled in Nigeria very soon, govt can't bear the burden alone its a common practice worldwide. He shouldn't try to sound like messiah and make a fool of himself just like GEj promised 2million jobs a year.

And come up with another revenue stream ....

Or how is he going to plug the financial gap as a result of losing out on the revenue from the toll?!

The point of the toll for me is not just about revenue but another avenue to reduce the number of cars plying our roads around that area ::: Traffic decongestion!

As well as the environmental benefits :::: Polution, CO2 emission.

Agbaje, who was accompanied by his Deputy, Alhaja Safurat Abdulkareem, commended Governor Babatunde Fashola for some of the successes recorded in the state but he averred that Lagos was in urgent need of change and not continuity

I like that especially @Bolded ....I guess time for Lagos to slow down on the achievements so far thanks to PDP grin
