I need help regarding a quote below I received from the builder for casting a Parapet not sure if he's taking a piss


The decking floor is about 350SQM

150 Bag of Cements
60 Tonnes of Granites @130,000 per 30 Tones
3 tipper load of sand @22,000
Workmanship 180,000

The bags of cements sounds a lot since I only used 230bags for casting of the decking

From d drawing I saw here U will definitely not need more than 70-80 bags of cement maximum to cast the parapet. Also try and buy your granite from a quarry with good weigh bridge, confirmed 30tons granite would definitely be enough. All this supplier would just hip a trailer with 15-18tons of granite and tell you is 30tons and since you can't get the actual tonnage on site when delivering to you on site hence the issue. Where is d site? There are so many quarries along Lagos Ibadan Expressway.

Thanks @odiereke the site is in Ikorodu. The problem is if you are not in Nigeria people try to pull wall over your face.

You are welcomed. Try as much as possible to look for somebody You trust to oversee the casting for you. Also you can give the casting out to those concrete contractor. Allow the carpenter to finish doing the form work and then check or snap the picture of the frame and paste on the forum.
