"And please permit me to be even more candid. Outrage at Western media is so shockingly simplistic and useless because it distracts our attention from the thieving potbelly political elite in Nigeria who are complicit in this massacre and who have little regard for the lives lost.

Because while you are tweeting your outrage about the lack of coverage, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, a proven good-for-nothing slowpoke, has not said a word about it and is busy posting party photos on Facebook. While you simmer in anger about the massacre in Baga not being front page news on CNN, the good-for-nothing slowpoke sent a statement of condolences to France, calling the attack on Charlie Hebdo dastardly. He joins members of his cabinet and other African political elites who have kept quiet about the Baga massacre but have sent similar messages of solidarity to France. Six African heads of state actually made it to Paris to stand in solidarity with France.

Further, from Al Ahram in Egypt to the Vanguard in Nigeria to the East African in Kenya, the leading newspapers also do not seem to want to concern themselves with this African tragedy. It seems that the African elite haven't gotten the memo that #BlackLivesMatter.

And in a country where Charlie Hebdo is every day, a country in a constant state of trauma, a nation paralyzed by tragedies big and small, there are no scenes of mass mobilizations, condemnations or mass showings of solidarity. Why?

Because my people are tired. Because they understand all too well that those charged with protecting and serving them have no regard for their humanity.

Consequently, focusing indignation on Western media and not at Aso Rock and those in Abuja who continually demean and degrade Nigerian lives is naïve and does great disservice to the victims of Baga. Because unless we collectively and continuously focus our just and righteous rage at Abuja and root our analysis and critique against the Nigerian government who have allowed the spread of this scourge, the killings and massacres will only continue with impunity."

The magazine agrees with her, hence the editor allowing it to go to press.

If being a Yoruba lady makes the article worthless to you and your ilk, then being an Igboman should make Rev. Mbaka criticism of Jonathan administration valid. I hope you agree.

Mumu crayon brat. You TANdroids are all unintelligent gringos. I used bold coloured font to highlight important sections of quotes from what others have written. That makes perfect sense when one needs to draw attention quickly to pertinent sections of long articles or utterances of others quoted here. You use red bold fonts unnecessarily for what you write personally as you do above and always. Big difference attention-seeking olodo.

Doing such, related to internet/blogging etiquette, is viewed as the equivalent of 'shouting' or attention-seeking by those who do not have anything sensible to say yet insist others must notice them. Much like the empty barrel who always tries to shout others down in a social gathering. Look at this post for example. Any coloured fonts? Yet look at your nonsensical and unimportant post above which is your own words and not a quotation of what others have written. How many Nairalanders do you see using bold red font always for what they write personally, rather than for illustrating important sections of quotes from what others write, as you do day in day out? Suwegbes always make a fool of themselves. .

Don't disturb yourself, people like that don't reason, they are hardened and no amount of truth and fact can change them.

And how does that affect the truthful message? You need to keep your ethnic jingoism in check. Rather than talk as if Yorubas hate GEJ, when we can all see that this article tells the reality-based truth, perhaps you should consider why only you and others like you hold brief always , ala "chibok kidnapping a scam", for an ultra-failed leader.

This speaks more about your own prejudice, bigotry and innate lack of decency you wish to project on others merely because they are not from your ethnic group. If the author of the article had lied forcefully then you may have a point trying to draw attention to her ethnic origin. It is never sensible to attack a messenger who is telling the truth as the audience immediately discerns your insincerity. It is even worse to do such with a focus on race, colour, or ethnicity because this shows, beyond doubt, that you are a bigot.

Thanks goodness the moronic huffingtonpost.com is another good-for-nothing piece of trash just like the so-called news outlets mentioned in the post. Certain news and articles on newspapers are derivatives of skewed minds. The crap about Baga could even begin to make sense if there is no indigene of Baga who is a member of Boko haram.
