President Goodluck Jonathan Tuesday declared in Lafia, the capital of Nasarrawa State that his possible successor would be younger than him.

Jonathan, 57 said made this affirmation in Lafia as part of his ongoing second term campaign.

This declaration has, therefore, ruled out the possibility of the Vice President, Namadi Sambo, 60 and the Senate President, David Mark, 66 in succeeding him.

Addressing the mammoth crowd that came out to welcome him, President Jonathan said his administration believed in the youth and would do everything possible to support the younger generation.

“Obasanjo was president at 70, Yar’Adua at 60 and me close to 60; so the next president must be younger than me”, President Jonathan said.

Jonathan told the crowd that the PDP administration would invest in the younger generation and ensure that a space was made available for them in the future.

He explained that his administration hadtaken keen interest in educational development, which is a yardstick for developing the younger generation.

The people will decide, not Jonathan. This is democracy not dictatorship. I thought Jona said he has given Nigerians freedom, so why is he now trying to take away their freedom to choose their President?

GEJ and his clueless comments.

He should set the bar on achievements rather than age.
At 57 what have he done for Nigerians What did his government accomplish ,

GEJ should focus on what his government have achieved in the past and what he intends to achieve if reelected, not this bla bla bla

What does age have to do with good governance

Anyways, sipping my kunu grin

Buhari will return to recontest again as the opposition, even if it's from the grave. The man is a habitual election loser
