I am always amazed when xtians deride 'abrogation of a few laws in Islam'... yet they confidently claim that God abrogated the entire OT laws; (except of course, for tithing, which was modified to add modern day pastors to biblical levites as recipients); which He gave Moses and the prophets in favour of "grace".
This seems like mote and beam to me. I wonder how they justify it?

can you prove this with a verse? If one christian twist bible teaching for you and it not in the bible, it a false doctrine, but what the op write is supported with verses from the quran.

Paul epistle was a teaching but the gospel was a preaching, Paul teach what is in the gospel, teaching required the holy spirit to understand.

In matthew5:18.For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is ACCOMPLISHED.

If the law can save us, why did Jesus have to come?what is there to accomplished? the law is not going to save us but it will help us to know what is good and bad. when Jesus say he come to fullfiled the law, he mean "I PERFECTTLY KEPT THE LAW AND I AM THE PERFECT EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW
The law is perfect and to obey it ,it's by God grace in Jesus (salvation) salvation is God work base upon belief on Jesus christ.

Roman 7:4-6
4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also
died to the law through the body of
Christ, that you might belong to another,
to him who was raised from the dead, in
order that we might bear fruit for God. 5
For when we were in the realm of the
flesh,[ a] the sinful passions aroused by
the law were at work in us, so that we
bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying
to what once bound us, we have been
released from the law so that we serve in
the new way of the Spirit, and not in the
old way of the written code.

So long as a man continues under
the law as a covenant, and seeks
justification by his own obedience, he
continues the slave of sin in some form.
Nothing but the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus, can make any sinner free from the law of sin and death.

The Qur’an claims to be the eternal
Revelation of God. If true, how can an
eternal Book of Allah have such time-
bound revelations in it? The Qur’an itself admits that some of its verses were abrogated and replaced by others
verses.

To abrogate means to abolish, annul,
rescind, repeal or revoke. The Qur’an is
the only religious book that abrogates its own teachings. The concept of abrogation in the Qur’an is that Allah reveals a verse in the Qur’an that invalidates an earlier verse in the same Qur’an. This may lead to numerous difficulties for the readers of the Qur’an. In fact, it raises many questions. For example:

1. How can a Muslim know what is
abrogated and what is not?
2. Since the abrogated verses still exist
in the Qur’an, what is the use of
these abrogated verses for Muslims
now?
3. Would not this pose a problem for
the ordinary readers of the Qur’an to
verify what is abrogated and what is
not?
4. How would an average Muslim know
what is abrogated and what is not,
when even scholar disagree among
themselves as to the numbers of
verses that are abrogated?

However, if the Qur’an is the genuine
Word of God, then the commandments
written in it must by no means be
abrogated. Its contents must remain
intact and its messages unchanged. And
amazingly Allah agrees:

Surah 6:115: “The word of your Lord
is complete, in truth and justice.
Nothing shall abrogate His words.
He is the Hearer, the
Omniscient.” (Khalifa)
In other word, nothing can change is word. However, note the contradiction in Surah 2:106:

“Whatever verse we shall abrogate,
or cause (thee) to forget, we will
bring a better one than it, or one
like unto it. Dost thou not know that
God is almighty?” (Sale)

The concept of “abrogation” in the
Qur’an is that Allah reveals a latter verse that both supersedes and annuls an earlier verse in the same Qur’an.
Abrogation means to annul or cancel
something with appropriate or legal
authority. In this case, the authority is
none other than Allah himself. Surah
2:106 is central to the doctrine of
abrogation that is taught in Islam. Why
does an all-wise God need to reveal
“better” or “similar” verses to replace
verses that he had inspired only a few
years or even days earlier? Surah 2:106
is clearly making the claim that Allah will change and cause the older verses to be forgotten by revealing better verses or verses similar in kind. To emphasize the point, Allah states that he has power over all things.

The quran is disorderly chronological arrange One example of the disorderly chronology is that Surahs 2:193, 2:216 and 2:217 were revealed at the beginning of Muhammad’s arrival in
Medina. And it took another six years to
reveal Surahs 2:190, 2:191 and 2:192. Yet Surah 2:193 (which was revealed six
years earlier) was inserted to follow
Surah 2:192. How could it then be known which contradicting verses were the more authoritative? Without context and chronology, the “abrogated” and
“abrogator” verses render the entire
Qur’an irrelevant. For example, if one
verse encourages slavery and another
condemns it, which is to be believed and followed?
Truly there is a lot of questions we need to ask, the quran is not the word of God.

This Christians just keep rambling over issue that they are plainly wrong.

Qur'an is complete and can't be altered.. Like the first quoted surah said.

And your 2nd Surat you quoted , is it talking about Qur'an completeness?

Laughing... I will keep debunking your conspiracy theories

Allah command the muslims to stand and pray all night;

Surah 73:1-2: “O you wrapped in
garments (i.e. Prophet Muhammad)!
Stand (to pray) all night, except a
little.” (Hilali-Khan)

However, the above two verses are
abrogated by the last verse of the very
same Surah:

Surah 73:20: “Verily, your Lord knows
that you do stand (to pray at night) a
little less than two-thirds of the night,
or half the night, or a third of the
night, and so do a party of those with
you, And Allah measures the night
and the day. HE KNOWS THAT YOU ARE
UNABLE TO PRAY THE WHOLE NIGHT, so
He has turned to you (in mercy). So,
recite you of the Qur’an as much as
may be easy for you.” (Hilariously)

The directive to “Stand to pray all night,
except a little” in Surah 73:2 is abrogated by Surah 73:20 – the last verse of the same Surah.n, we can
see that Allah’s failure in his judgment
resulted in the abrogation of the Qur’anic verses. It shows that many of the “better” revelations are revealed on the basis of trial and error. But, one of the real reasons behind the concept of
abrogation is that Muhammad intended
to make the performing of the Islamic
rites and worship easier on his followers
so as to hold on to their approval and
satisfaction with his teachings. If he
decreed something which later seemed
to be too difficult for his followers to
apply and they remonstrated against it,
he would “lighten” it immediately and
claim that Allah had ordered him to
rescind what he previously uttered. And
the verses he recited earlier were
replaced by new ones.

Laughing... What is being explained is nafilat that is being performed in midnight to pray to God and God also tell us when it's time to do it..
not being able to do it all night ( is for those that can't perform nafilat in midnight) that they should perform as they can and they should read Quran.

Satisfied?

(2:106) For whatever verse We might abrogate or consign to oblivion, We bring a better one or the like of it. Are you not aware that Allah is All-Powerful?

This is in response to a doubt which the Jews tried to implant in the minds of the Muslims. If both the earlier Scriptures and the Qur'an were revelations from God, why was it - they asked - that the injunctions found in the earlier Scriptures had been replaced by new ones in the Qur'an? How could the same God issue divergent injunctions?

Furthermore, they expressed their amazement at the Qur'anic indictment of the Jews and Christians for having allowed part of the revelation to be forgotten and lost, pointing out that it was impossible that Divine revelation should be erased from human memory. In all this, their motive was not to know the truth but to cast doubt on the Divine origin of the Qur'an.

In refutation God states that He being the Absolute Sovereign has unlimited authority both to abrogate previous injunctions and to cause people to forget the injunctions He wants them to forget. However, God ensures that whatever He abrogates or causes to be erased from people's memories is replaced by something equally or even more beneficial.

so what you are saying here, the jews force allah to change his word ? If abrogation is in the nature of God, we would've find it in the bible.

The Qur’an claims to be the eternal
Revelation of God. If true, how can an
eternal Book of Allah have such time-
bound revelations in it? The Qur’an itself admits that some of its verses were abrogated and replaced by others
verses.

To abrogate means to abolish, annul,
rescind, repeal or revoke. The Qur’an is
the only religious book that abrogates its own teachings. The concept of abrogation in the Qur’an is that Allah reveals a verse in the Qur’an that invalidates an earlier verse in the same Qur’an. This may lead to numerous difficulties for the readers of the Qur’an. In fact, it raises many questions. For example:

1. How can a Muslim know what is
abrogated and what is not?
2. Since the abrogated verses still exist
in the Qur’an, what is the use of
these abrogated verses for Muslims
now?
3. Would not this pose a problem for
the ordinary readers of the Qur’an to
verify what is abrogated and what is
not?
4. How would an average Muslim know
what is abrogated and what is not,
when even scholar disagree among
themselves as to the numbers of
verses that are abrogated?

However, if the Qur’an is the genuine
Word of God, then the commandments
written in it must by no means be
abrogated. Its contents must remain
intact and its messages unchanged. And
amazingly Allah agrees:

Surah 6:115: “The word of your Lord
is complete, in truth and justice.
Nothing shall abrogate His words.
He is the Hearer, the
Omniscient.” (Khalifa)
In other word, nothing can change is word. However, note the contradiction in Surah 2:106:

“Whatever verse we shall abrogate,
or cause (thee) to forget, we will
bring a better one than it, or one
like unto it. Dost thou not know that
God is almighty?” (Sale)

The concept of “abrogation” in the
Qur’an is that Allah reveals a latter verse that both supersedes and annuls an earlier verse in the same Qur’an.
Abrogation means to annul or cancel
something with appropriate or legal
authority. In this case, the authority is
none other than Allah himself. Surah
2:106 is central to the doctrine of
abrogation that is taught in Islam. Why
does an all-wise God need to reveal
“better” or “similar” verses to replace
verses that he had inspired only a few
years or even days earlier? Surah 2:106
is clearly making the claim that Allah will change and cause the older verses to be forgotten by revealing better verses or verses similar in kind. To emphasize the point, Allah states that he has power over all things.

The quran is disorderly chronological arrange One example of the disorderly chronology is that Surahs 2:193, 2:216 and 2:217 were revealed at the beginning of Muhammad’s arrival in
Medina. And it took another six years to
reveal Surahs 2:190, 2:191 and 2:192. Yet Surah 2:193 (which was revealed six
years earlier) was inserted to follow
Surah 2:192. How could it then be known which contradicting verses were the more authoritative? Without context and chronology, the “abrogated” and
“abrogator” verses render the entire
Qur’an irrelevant. For example, if one
verse encourages slavery and another
condemns it, which is to be believed and followed?
Truly there is a lot of questions we need to ask, the quran is not the word of God.
allah cannot be the true God.

We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to
be forgotten except that We bring forth
[one] better than it or similar to it. Do you

Allahh said NOTHING can change his word but he was changing it, contrary to what he earlier said.

Allahh must have tampered with muslims God-given intelligence, otherwise, it too clear for any intelligent people to know allahh is satan, who is out to deceive.

Besides, allahh himself confessed he is "makr" meaning a deceiver. If they follow a deceiver and go to hell, they will find themselves to blame. I pity them.

Where is the lie?

[Quran 2:106 Pickthal] Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof.Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things?

[ Quran 2:106 Shakir] Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten,We bring one better than it or like it
. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things?

[ Quran 2:106 Yusufali] None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?

Are they not translating from the same arabic text? Sahil International translation is a fraud.

Okay, i see you posted this on the other thread seeking answer. Well, Muslims are humans just like you people. We are bound to have differences, in thought, conception, methodology, and even ideology. What does not change with Islam/Muslims is we all believe in the same Quran. Quran is one in its original Arabic text and that's it.

There is nothing like a verse was forgotten or removed from Quran. Quran is for past, present and future. It's a misconception among some Muslims (i:e their understandings). This is a matter of methodology. Those who believe there is or are missing verses from Quran got the wrong mandhab (methodology).

Look at it this way, if there were abrogated or missing verses in the Quran, it will be impossible to have same copy of Quran worldwide in its original Arabic text. True or not?.

This is the verse of Qur'an that speaks of abrogation (2:106):

Sahih International

The verse does not in anyway refers to verses within Quran. It's talking about previous Signs (i:e ayat, verses) in Revelations like Torah of Moses and or Injil of Jesus). The Quran is only giving more information in the verse above. It may be contradiction if we accept such silly allegation(abrogation within Quran).

Quran frowns at contradictions within it in sura Nisa(4):82

In a nutshell, i am aware of some scholars who claim some verses of the Quran are abrogated or removed. This is not appropriate. I don't care how highly they are regarded. They are simply wrong in their interpretation of 2:106. Only Allah and His messanger (Muhammad- Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) have the right to tell us what is or what is not in the Quran. It doesnt matter what a hadith says. Any hadith that says otherwise is false. Hope this answer your question.

Allah knows best

Note, if you don't know something, it would be appropriate to ask rather than making jest of religious text all over NL like you guys are doing. Thank you
best answer indeed
You re full of wisdom
May Allah be please with you
