The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Dr. Nasir Fagge, has asked Nigerians to use their votes to unseat all “parasites in government.”
The union also condemned hate campaigns, which it said could plunge the country into violence if not stopped.
The ASUU president spoke at a symposium organised by the union on the 2015 general elections and titled: “Towards Issue-based and Violence Free 2015 Polls.”
He charged them to ensure that the elections usher in new crop of leaders that are interested in development of the country.
Through the ‘callousness of the parasites, Nigerians, he said, are being looked down on not only by the developed countries but also African countries that has same history with the country.”
He therefore asked the electorates to ensure that corrupt and anti-people leaders are legally removed through the ballot.
Fagge noted problems such as unemployment, insecurity and infrastructure decay were results of failed leadership, urging Nigeria to unseat parasites in government.

Only a ghost in dis Country would want to continue with dis govt. There's definitely nothing that GEJ has gotten right. I just pity the youths that are rooting for him. It baffles me. They are killing the youth with unemployment and at the same time publicly looting our money and will still come out with fake report on it.

FOOD For THOUGHT:
President Jonathan Will Hold His Last
Campaign In Bayelsa
While
Buhari Will Hold His Last Campaign In
ABUJA.
Does It Not Show Their Destination After
Election?

The looting of public funds by Gej government is enough for a completion revolution by the masses.

Wonder why some people still support this heartless government when you know that life is too short.

Have you driven any of those automobile?
How many mega watts of electricity is nigeria generating at present?
How many farms government owned and where are the located and what are they producing? It is not by feeding some set of people and leaving others hungry. We are over 170 million for crying out loud.

Why is Buhari not the best candidate available?

Why is Buhari not the best candidate available? Bros pls may I ask, when was telcoms privatised? My guess is 1999, when did tht sector truly become operational? .... What am I saying? These are long term plans and as long as vested interests are involved, they'll eventually kick off, then competition will crash prices. Buhari is a socialist quota system believer.. That's an enemy to nigeria. We need capitalism not a miracle cure to 50yrs of camatose civil service

Nigeria is not yet ripe to practice capitalist economy because
1. How can you expect to attract foreign direct investment when the government have not provided the needed enabling environment. We cannot burst of having even half a day of uninterrupted electricity supply.

Telecommunications is on the high side because those companies run on generators 24 hours. Calls are cheap outside the country but are costly here.

2. With corruption in the government, do you think that it is possible for any reasonable investor to put his money here? The little money you have, you can use it to improve yourself. You are waiting for an outsider.

A capitalist economy is when you are okay as a country. Others will see the need to invest in your country, do you think that China is a capitalist economy? Dubia would not achieved a capitalist economy today if they have Mis managed the resource.

once more ure wrong again! Nigeria is very ripe for capitalism. If the largest telcoms market in africa is run by generators I dnt see y others cnt do so... Moreover power is on its way to being fixed, its been privatised.
The enabling enviromnt u ppl keep tlkn bout can never come from our govt because of statutorily bcked up priciples like quota system. Federal character etc whch mitigates meritocracy. All we need is for govt to handsoff from all sectors as they've done in aviation, telcoms, banking, transportation etc. Nb notice those r the only operational sectors.
We dnt evn care wht they do wth oil revenue, they need to just handsoff.

So u sayn were nt ripe for capitalism is lame infact the very reason u can view nairaland is cos of capitalism.. Imagine nitel gvn us data..

Hahah. Largest telecom market for paper right? How many country in Nigeria company is producing screen guard for phone. That is the lowest phone accessories.

More power on his way? Like "I will do" while they are looting the treasury and doing nothing. Nigerians are their problem not money.

They are our problem. The pdp and Gej government. Change is near!

and once again u lie to urself.

Our telcoms industry isn't largest on paper infact its so viable MTN got in and became largest provider in africa, anybody tht stands in denial tht nigeria isn't africas biggest economy is a joker.

What we should be thinking of is how the common man can tap into tht economy. And when u privatise, the govt doesn't Do anything aside tax collection. Let's use lagos as case study, which if u don't know is the only fully capitalised state in nigeria. We sschools. We see devlopment in real estate, roads, schools, malls etc everybody attributes it to the govt of the day, tht coincidentally hasn't spent anything or been involved in any of these products, and lest I forget is heavily marred with corruption. Yet in all these, we still see progress, which finally butresses my point.... Corruption is least of our probs, capitalism will solve everything. So if u keep waiting for a govt thtll come and change nigeria with civil service ure a joker.
