I'm particularly interested in this issue, because I love the soup especially the Ogbono+Okra variant.. How does it spoil charms?? Can anyone here explain the exact mechanism by which the charm is made weaker/ineffectual |

If it renders charms ineffective shouldn't it be number one delicacy in every Nigerian household? Question for my superstition believers. |

[quote author=Ishilove post=30537328]My mum doesn't eat draw soup too. Whenever she ate it she always faced severe attacks, so she quit it. Spiritualists don't eat draw soup. That's my observation. In other word, your mum is a spiritualist... I can't stop laughing. 3 Likes |

As a young ajebo, I hate washing plates used for okro soup, thereby disliking the soup till this day. My wife cooks it only when I am not around. Maybe I travelled or went to work. Okro no bi soup. |

Hmmm.....looks like not served because of 2 main reasons...1...People wear their better clothes to parties ...no okro soup ...no stains! and 2. ....the soup may cause stomach upset in many guests and the stench from the toilets would shut down the party. |

I also love okro but the whole spiritual implication some people attach to it makes others skeptical about eating it. |
