These Fulani people have infiltrated all around every region in this country without control. This same thing is happening in Delta state and many other states in the SS, SE and SW regions. The let their cattles damage people's crops and when the people complain they would unleash terror on them. Some even use AK47 which they hide inside the bags they carry. It's becoming worrisome and the government does not seem to care. The security agents see them but pretend as if nothing is happening. It is like this now that their master has not yet become president, I wonder what it will be like when he finally becomes the president. God will judge them all.

They will never come close to ur farm after that incident. That's is how we handle em on the east. Remember " A cattle is worth more than human life to a Fulani man"

Even in the most populated towns and villages ----- you're warned not to venture to the farm alone. Preferably with able-bodied escorts and well armed too. That's just common sense. If it's not Fulani herdsmen it can be some other psycho. Government should work on security for the rural areas but people should also educate themselves. This is not the caveman era.

I wonder why people, based on tribal and religious sentiment insult themselves on this platform. Accepted that Nigeria is mistake structurally but must we decent so low with all our education. It's painful how we trivialise human life in this country. People get killed any how and nobody get punished. The 3 children left by the woman should become the state government responsibility so also in other states. Larger responsibility is on the fulani leaders to educate their people on better animal ranching method advocated by the govt. These leaders should be seen to act and not just mere comdemnation.

My assumption is that the herdsmen were letting their cattle feed on her farmland without approval and she protested. It turned ugly...

I've always had my suspicions about these nomadic people. They just enter any body's farm like its their own and instead of leading their cattle through peacefully, they let them stay and devour another person's hardwork. They should be punished.

What does alum do to their cattle? Can it also have any negative effect on the crops? It sounds very interesting. But are you sure it works? else other farmers in other regions ought to be using that method o.

If these people take retaliatory measures now somebody will say that they are persecuting the herdsmen but the fact is, if you don't want trouble, don't start one.

This is why you need localized law enforcement aka state police. It was similar in the US wild west. The things they went through led to the formation of County Policing and the office of the Sheriff. You can imagine how lawless America will be if the FBI was the all and only.

There are many good things that cannot happen in Nigeria and many bad thing that will persist irrespective of governments if the structures remain the same.
