Abians have refused to be treated as common beggars.
APGA and PDP will not get our votes by giving us morsels of rice and chicken changes so as to rob us of our future 4years.
Abians demand visionary leadership as has been seen in Chief Emeka Oti Mba of Labour Party.

Sounds like he died because:
a) he wasn't taking his medication and as a result his kidneys got worse and he didn't have the resources to fund an emergency kidney transplant operation.

The place they buried muna was like a poultry ground, I am not trying to badmouth anyone here, am just saying the truth.
Where do you want them to bury him....a golden tomb? As if that will guarantee his soul going to heaven. If you have to bury a loved one would you spend your entire fortune just to please a society that reasons like you just did above or are you one of those that give advice you wont take yourself.

I have a feeling it may have been the fact that he had issues with alcohol, drinking too much can lead to high blood pressure which in turn can cause kidney disease. People who know him said that he relied heavily on alcohol in order to get over the unfortunate deaths of his parents.

Your kidneys filter harmful substances from your blood. One of these substances is alcohol. Alcohol can cause changes in the function of the kidneys and make them less able to filter your blood. In addition to filtering blood, your kidneys do many other important jobs. One of these jobs is keeping the right amount of water in your body. Alcohol affects the ability of your kidneys to do this. When alcohol dehydrates (dries out) the body, the drying effect can affect the normal function of cells and organs, including the kidneys.

Too much alcohol can also affect your blood pressure. People who drink too much are more likely to have high blood pressure. And medications for high blood pressure can be affected by alcohol. High blood pressure is a common cause of kidney disease. More than two drinks a day can increase your chance of having high blood pressure.

The best kept secret of Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe who passed away secretly at a specialist hospital in Festac Lagos, Sunday January 18th, 2015 has been exposed.

This was made known by his godmother and fellow actress Vera Kanu (pictured below). In an exclusive chat with icampus, Vera Kanu said Muna Obiekwe in his lifetime was a chain smoker and an alcoholic. She said his addiction contributed to his kidney damage.

Vera said Muna lost his parents a while ago in a fatal car accident and since then he has been using alcohol and smoke to console himself. In the process, Muna reportedly consulted a doctor who suggested that he should do at least 20 kidney dialyses to re-energize his kidney.

He was then told to avoid alcohol.. Vera said that the actor didn’t quit drinking until the time of his death.

Vera continued: “I was with him to the last hour. He was to do up to 20 dialyses; the doctor said if the dialysis improved his condition, the worse would certainly be over. He will be okay only if he stays away from alcohol but you know our artiste,” she concluded.“the dialysis was expensive for Muna.

He was doing two in a week sometimes. And he would need blood injection on each occasion. Each appointment was costing him between N250, 000 to N300, 000; money he did not really have to spend. His health was eating deep into his purse yet Muna refused to go cap in hand begging for alms. He was a private guy who didn’t want the press or his colleagues to feast on his pain.

“He was managing it on his own. As a matter of fact, he has been managing it for a while until Ejiro Okurame and I came on board to help. We were combining resources to help him but there was very little we could do to save him. We had to enlist the help of Patience Ozokwor and Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) at a point. They rendered the help they could until he died. Vera Kanu says Muna Obiekwe Lived A Very Private Life

“The guy was private. He kept to himself a lot and most importantly, kept his private life private; for instance, many people did not even know he was married with two children. Such was his life. He didn’t want press or his colleagues to start prying. He was particularly afraid of the press, hence his shutting his colleagues out of his pain. He knew if some Nollywood people got to know about it, the press would also get to know. He refused to beg to save Nollywood’s image, he in-turn, lost himself.”

“Everybody in the industry knows Muna drinks a lot; even when he’s shooting in the North, he has a way of finding alcohol. He fell into it, after he lost his parents in a ghastly motor accident. ‘As a matter of fact, he was supposed to be in that car with them but by stroke of luck, he wasn’t and was spared. Afterwards, Muna took solace in liquor but that never affected his job. He was just like Sam Loco; he could drink the whole sea but when he hears the director shout ‘action,’ he gets into character. Muna was a method character despite his flaws’’ ----------------------------------------

Ok my people.. She say na High Blood Pressure Lead To Muna Kidney Failure, say Na Im Two Kidney Fail Say Nor Be One...
The lady continue say the reason why muna nor come out talk na because him
fams dey capable of taking care of him... say dem don plan to carry am go obodo oyinbo before he receive nature's call.

As a psychiatric nurse, I know that the bean shaped organ produced renin, an important enzyme in blood pressure control. Thus, the kidneys probably failed due to lack of renin, thereby causing a high systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Ok, just watched the video... The lady said Muna had High BP which led to kidney failure(His two kidneys actually, so bad). He suffered from the illness for a year and was on dialysis and medicine. His doctor uncles were finalizing arrangements to come to Nigeria and have him do kidney transplant before he died....Muna didn't make his sickness public because he was a private person and also had a family who was handling the situation.

Then the Lady said " To those saying Muna never told them about his ailment, Fu*k them all grin grin grin grin, that in what way have they contributed to his burial now they are aware, did they come for his burial? No, Did they come to know how his family is faring? No, that they can say whatever they wish".... grin grin

So, that's all i could grasp.... People like to talk shaaaa, so after all these he didn't make his illness public bla bla bla, none of them cared...too bad

Who care for who in Nigeria? Everybody with his problem, na OYO we dey o. Ailments that suppose not to claim any life are claiming thousands on regular basis. We need to think deeply and find solution to problems. There should be ways we can approach the government to look into health matter as affecting the populace.
