What's the welfare package? If I'm gonna risk my life for a country, I need to know what I stand to gain apart from just wearing camo all about and slapping innocent civilians.

Top militaries of the world have the salary packages of army recruits clealy spelled out, nobody should come here & start talking about motivation based on empty stomach cos I know some Nigerians are sufferheads!

That line "" slapping innocent civilian"" got me laughing uncontrollable..... grin

I understand bro, but why should people pay to join the army?

They should even get a little stipend for displaying of interest.

Why must we pay to serve and protect our fathers land ?
Ask the PDP led Federal Government, Stealing is not Corruption so if they need 10000 applicants and millions pay to buy form and they later choose their favored 10000 then know that all the others just raised money for them to loot. More serious countries don't sell such form instead they make the requirements a bit harder like for example asking for 6 to 7 credits or second class upper and above and it's free to apply.

Is this real? I thought there was already an on going recruitment from late last year?
I should think it's real. 71RRI passed out some few weeks ago and even before then, the 72RRI were already at the NA Depot Zaria, undergoing training. It's a continuous cycle (the recruitment) I think.

U made valid points but
Military enlistment shouldn't be based on academic performance.
