Most media houses in Nigeria today will only realize how much they've rubished their carriers and credibilities for decending so low as to offering themselves as conduits for propanda in our political matters. Nairaland already looks like a child's play in its biasness of political inclination. When people are banned from participation for airing their freedom of association and expression. Some newspaper houses are already tendering disclaimers on lies they collected money to publish. Just as Sahara reporters which no longer commands a dime credibility for information disemination, other broadcasting agencies, both Radio, television and online media will soon become unimportant in their proffessional engagements. Their woes will have multiplied by the time the dice is cast resulting in abandonment by these politicians who are manipulating them to propagate their own selfish desires. By the time their eyes are opened, they will have lost all credibility and become unable to sale any bit of inormation to the public. I wonder what their fate will remain. Political lobying can only feed you momentarily but destroys your carrier in no distant time.

Some people simply don't know the difference between FOI and press freedom. For instance, the op.

Please, I'm not political. I'm just being objective. To rid this generation off manipulation, we must remain rational in our observations and contributions. You just reminded me of the AIT saga, and those are exactely what I'm talking about.

U rubbished your otherwise gud writeup when u wrote that sahara reporters now has diminished credibility.
For your info the two major sources of credible news now are sahara reporters and premium times, then maybe punch.
All others are learning in the art of journalism which is all about scoops.

A lot of Nigerians have no idea what the FOI bill is really all about. They consider the social media boom as FOI and end up crediting the govt for the boom.

Whatever you refer the FOI bill to as, the atrocities being maligned by the press and media today couldnt have been feasible or condonable as at 1983 to 1985. If you know your history very well.

They fabricated yar'adua's I'll health while Jonathan was confined to reading newspapers?
They fabricated patience medical treatment abroad, that nearly claimed her life while Reuben abati told us she went for a rest?
They fabricated the inflated contract for expensive cars by Stella oduah while she was claiming to be renovating airports?
They fabricated how Fayose, obanikoro used a brigadier general and d army to rig the ekiti polls?
Do you want me to go on?
No other news outfit has dictated national discourse and policy direction than dis same outfit, despite being just an online mainly print medium, and you are hear yarning dust.
For your info, premium times was represented at d last presidential media chat,to show d clout they carry, and its editor was d only person that asked incisive questions.
If u want to continue watching stone age NTA or childish AIT or continue reading tribune, this day or pointblank news,we have nothing to argue about then!

Sahara reporters where never the brains behind unravelling Yaradua's ill health. The credit only goes to our our once and gallant former minister of information, late mrs Dora Akinyuli. And I want to tell you here cathegorically that Sahara reporters has given more false news than realities in their sourgeon. Lately, they were supposed to face a court action for fabricated stories.
