mavinc4u: It's MasterCard they give normally with Savings account. Debit MasterCard and Credit VISA Card (Current account). Unless they changed, just like Ecobank switched from VISA to MasterCard just last yr or early this year. Btw, confirming Stanbic's rate Dear Stanley, Thank you for your mail. I think it's time we demand quality service from govt and service providers including financial institutions, in respect of my cancelled order on Paypal, UBA charged me 217+ per dollar, but refunding they refunded 198.5, i mailed them, they told me it's official rate, why didnt they use official rate in charging initially was what i asked' meanwhile during the periood the transaction was made, the exchange rate between the dollar and pounds didn't change (the transaction was quoted in pounds, but paypal charged me dollar and converted to pound). I copied CBN in the mails, just this morning i was credited with the normal charge of 217 and debited with the debious refund. Thanks to stanley08 this forum has really help some of us in knowing the sharp practices of these banks 1 Like |
