''NIGERIANS MARCH FOR OUR TROOPS AS THOUSANDS PROTEST BOKO HARAM''

The Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh says the troops and the arm forces will not relent in its current fight against insurgents and the ongoing operation in the North-East until forces of darkness are decimated.

Air Chief Marshal Badeh made the disclosure in Abuja when he received members of the Support Our Troop Foundation, a non-governmental organisation on a solidarity march to show their support for the recent successes recorded by troops.

Speaking on behalf of Air Chief Marshal Badeh, the Director Defence Information Major General Chris Olukolade re-echoed the CDS commitment and slogan by soldiers during the visit of presidents Jonathan’s visit to Baga and Mubi saying ‘‘Never again will terrorist occupy any part of the country’s sovereignty’’.

In her remarks, the founder of the Support Our Troop Foundation group Funmi Obuae, also called on all Nigerians irrespective of their political affiliation and differences to support the Nigerian troops to win the fight against insurgency.

Dignitaries present at the march include minister of culture and tourism and supervising minister of Information, Chief Edem Dueke, top government officials from the military and other well meaning Nigerians.
