The A Aruera Reachout Foundation which started as a pet project of the First Lady has since been abandoned and the edifice metamorphosed into a full fledged 5 star hotel in Bayelsa state.

There is another branch of the hotel that is under construction in Abuja along Airport Road. The Abuja branch sitting on a hill top is about 80 per cent completed.
The First Lady's foundation has also opened the most expensive private primary school, named Mertul International Academy, opposite Custom road along the Isacc Boro expressway, Biogbolo in Yenegoa. The school took off for business in September last year under the watch of her husband as President. She also has a branch of the school in Abuja where parents pay over N3 million per session for their wards in Nursery and primary sections.
