Nigerians never cease to amaze me,tribalizing everything. With all our tribal best,quality talks here,we are yet to take a shot at Oscar. Congrats to the winners though,it arent easy. Nollywood is improving rapidly.

The award went down today in Lagos and AY's movie 30 days in Atlanta won an award. Yay!!

Steve Gukas, OC Ukeje, Kehinde Bankole and Kunle Afolayan all went home with 6 months supply of Amstel malt drink and N1m courtesy Amstel Malt.
Kunle Afolayan also won the N1m and 1 year supply of the drink (again) for winning the Best Movie overall category.

My point is, nollywood is NIGERIA owned, it belongs to us all. The earlier you accept that the better you will appreciate tribalism is killing real talent in the industry.

If you want something solely igbo, create igbohood.

Tired of you peeps that put tribe in everything. And like the op stated, it's stupid for somdone to claim a tribe dominate the industry when 9 out of the 13 category for the industry award is won by a producer from another tribe.


This trend has been consistent for the past four years.

African magic viewer choice award, now how many of the movies that got nominated and the ones that won the various do africa magic channels show and the viewers do watch on their channel list. Why not nominate what you give your viewers access to.

Okay, I've never claimed that Igbo owned Nollywood or can you pin-point where I wrote it?

I quoted the dude because he said that all Igbo movies are sub-standard.
