Boko Haram: “We Are Open To Negotiations” – FG / Jonathan Was Never Ready To Fight Boko Haram, We Decided Unilaterally ~ Chadian / I Unilaterally Called The War On Boko Haram, Not Jonathan, Chad’s Idriss Deby (2) (3) (4)

“Jonathan Was Never Ready To Fight Boko Haram, We Decided Unilaterally” – Idris Deby|| How Nigeria troops allow Shekau” escaped at Dikwa Idriss Deby Idriss Deby, Chadian President has claimed that he single handedly called war on the extremist group, boko haram, and as slammed Nigerian President saying nothing would have been done if the war was left to him as Chad was never authorised the decision, Reuters Agency. Nigeria’s Goodluck Jonathan had claimed that after five years of tolerating the sect that killed thousands, he finally this January embarked on the serious effort to defeat Boko Haram to make him more electable and to allow voting in occupied territory; however the Chadians have said that this real war against the terrorists was decided upon unilaterally by Deby in reaction to Boko Haram obstructing Chad’s trade routes with Nigeria and the economy of the landlocked nation. He made quotes from Reuters saying: Officials from Chad, Niger and Cameroon say lack of cooperation from Nigeria has for months hampered efforts to put together a regional taskforce against Boko Haram. Chad was compelled to take unilateral action in January, under a deal that allows it to pursue terrorists into Nigeria, after Boko Haram violence started to choke off imports to its economy. But for a country proud to be a major African power, it would be an embarrassment to President Goodluck Jonathan as he seeks reelection for a smaller nation to tackle Nigeria’s security problems, diplomats say. Chad has been ready to press deep into territory controlled by the Islamist group but Nigeria refused to let them. We turned back because Nigeria did not authorise us to go any further,” army spokesman Colonel Azem Bermandoa said. But the Chadians say there have been no joint operations between the two forces. Nigeria has for months hampered efforts to put together a regional taskforce against Boko Haram. Nigeria’s military spokesperson, General Chris Olukolade Wednesday denied the Chadian claims of Nigeria stalling Chadian aggression against the terrorists, stating that the Nigerian side has no qualms with the Chadians but leads the mission to liberate the nation. The revelations from Chad appear to be fueling distrust, suspicion and tensions between Nigeria and its neighbors and dis- credits the leader of Africa’s most populous nation and a nation that was prior credited as having one of the best armies in Africa. President Jonathan is yet to react to Chad’s claims of the small country having been unilaterally behind the the drive to liberate Nigeria from the grasp of Boko Haram. After Chad engaged Boko Haram in Dikwa, Nigeria chased Chad out with the excuse that the Nigerian side planned to drop bombs on Boko Haram in Dikwa. Chad later claimed Boko Haram leader, “Abubakar Shekau” escaped at Dikwa with the Nigerian intervention, and Chad’s president personally warned Shekau that the Chadians knew where he went to and will soon get him. Shekau is now trying desperately to escape. Our enemies are using every means to help him. Our military must catch him even if it means shelling all the areas around him while moving ground troops in to capture him like a rat and like Saddam Hussain. There are no Chibok girls but remnants of suicide bombers that are with him. These suicide bombers dress up and go through bush paths into the gathering of unsuspecting people to kill. Our military must not allow Chad, Cameroon and Niger into the capture of Shekau. |

Orunto: Must we twist every news? Is it not evident that the FG only got serious when it became evident that the military team from smaller neighboring nations was putting more intelligence, strategic and physical efforts to fight this BH scourge? I think we should thank Chad and others who have come forth to join forces. If we were as proactive as they presently are, BH ruthlessness would have ended within a year (2012). 1 Like |

That which is hidden is gradually being unveiled. They all have interest at different times. - They Northern Nigeria at first embraced BK since the moslems where not directly affected. You'll agree with me that for more than 5 yrs, a lot of churches up-north were closed due to frequent attacks. They got serious when the attack changed as they were also affected. - Nigerian army(men on the field) hard terrible times taking out BH as the people either feared BH more than the NA or the covered them as their own brothers. - Nigerian Govt romanced BH as lots of money got allocated to defence i.e fighting BH and to depopulate that region perhaps to win election. - Chard showed less concern as they enjoyed the oil around chard basin alone since BH will frustrate any investment in Nigerian govt in that area. They suddenly got serious as BH started attacking them. - we also know that France is not left out of this. America also might have hand in it. Arab countries and some individuals with personal interest. They all have interest. Nigeria is a big country with large market. We all know that BH is an ideology. They can be put to check now but certainly they will re-group either as BH or with another name. This will continue until govt starts checking on the activities of Islamic teachers(Imam) and groups/movements eg, shiites, izzala etc in the north. We need a law that will arrest parents who leave their children or wards to wander about not going to school. Until then, BH and the likes will never stop in the North. we know that children from wealthy families join groups as such but only in negligible number. Arms were transferred from NA to wrong hands with style. with time, we shall know more. we(Nigerians) are watching. Our leaders will always divide us using religion and tribe but unit to share our resources. All i know is that they know themselves. 1 Like |

Any sane fellow knows the last 3 weeks acclaimed victory against BH has more than meets the eye, or what the Nigerian govt. wants to sell. The rational thing is to vote GEJ govt. out 1 Like |
