I wish to carry out a state by state campaign on places to visit this easter period.
Basic criteria:
A. Must be ideal for every member of the family
B. Must have a rich history to guarantee a memorable visit
C. Pocket friendly

Let us start with Lagos state

Lagos. The state of aquatic splendor. Lagos is divided into the mainland and the island basically.

On the island, we have the following places:
1. Lekki Leisure Lake or any of the beaches around
2. Lekki conservation foundation
3. The National Museum Onikan
4. The obafemi awolowo museum in Lekki.
5. Freedom park
6. Epe seafood market
7. Nike art gallery
8.La campagne Tropicana
9. Omu Resort

The Awolowo Museum in Lekki

It is located in the beach town of Lekki about 40 minutes drive from V.I. This place is in the heart of Lekki Town off the turning by the Lekki LCDA.

The tour around the museum begins with a brief history of the Lekki town itself- a misnomer of the name of the Portuguese slave merchant, Mr Lecqi, who settled in the town.

Mr lecqi is said to be buried upright in the ground at a point within vicinity of the museum, where a stone work marks the grave, but without his skull which has since been taken back to Portugal by his son.

The Original house which was the detention centre for Awolowo in 1962 is also said to be Mr Lecqi’s home in the 18th Century.
You get to see clothes, shoes, glasses and caps worn by the late sage.

Now to the Lagos Mainland

My focus here will be brief and straight to the point. Let us consider places with some form of activity.
If you wish t devote some time to arts and theatre visit the National Theatre. Though not as good as before, the national theatre always hosts a number of stage plays etc.
You can also visit the museum of national history within the Theatre.
