Most false (because of their dependence on human will and ungodly rituals) religions today try to reduce Jesus Christ to a mere mortal with high moral standards. The sin satan committed in heaven was pride so the thought of an extreme form of humility; God the Son coming down to mingle with man in human flesh, is tormenting to him. But that is what God did in His Son Jesus. Sending Him down to earth in the Power of the Holy Spirit to die and resurrect being an atonement for the sins of mankind.
If any other person no matter how "righteous" had died on that cross, it would have meant nothing because intrinsically that person was born in sin. But God through Jesus Christ paid the sacrifice for our sins by being free from sin and impacting that righteousness into our spirit by His death and resurrection!
Because of Jesus' divine nature and His death and resurrection, we have life and a new hope if we accept him as Lord and Savior!
Jesus is divine and therein lies His Power!
