we nigerians are so accustomed to calling different products with different names, probably due to ignorance or cos we are used to that particular name. forgetting that that particular name is another brand's name. don't know if you feel me but I will elucidate.

*MACLEANS- although this one has reduced in recent times. but I still think I shud mention it, wen I was growing up, we tend to call every brand of toothpaste "MACLEANS". but it has reduced drastically sha, it has now moved to "CLOSE UP". Every toothpaste is now been called Close up. lol.

*INDOMIE- I am still guilty of this, and virtually everybody. we still find ourselves calling any brand of noodles "INDOMIE". Bt some Behind ones among us are used to calling it noodles. which I always find funny nd odd when someone calls it noodles.
me- hey babe wat are u eatin dis nyt?
babe- I think noodles will be ok.
me- nood? oh ok!. indomie! !
*for ur mind u dy call noodles like say u no dy sh1t! no b indomie every body dy call am* lol

*MAGGI- this one is so common, any seasoning cube is called "MAGGI" here in nigeria. be it royco, suppy, ajinomoto, vedan .etc all na MAGGI.
check dis out.
Mum- ronke take dis #20 nd get me MAGGI.
Ronke- ok ma.
"5mins later"
Ronke- have it ma
Mum- oh no!! I mean royco nd not MAGGI.
Ronke- but u said MAGGI!!!.

These are the few I can remember for now, feel free to add yours nd dont spoil the fun.

Op, sorry, but it's either you don't know what a jeep means, or you dey form literate guy for NL. It is a small, blocky, military-style vehicle with four-wheel drive, suited to rough terrain.

it could also mean a genericized trademark for a sport utility vehicle (SUV).

Perhaps you need to check your dictionary!!!

And also, how does this post of yours suit the politics section?
