Yeah, I agree with u in the aspect of that particular region. U can see the difference btw a south western muslim and a core nothern muslim. We in the south cherish education but the mentality up north is not encouraging and very babaric. I still believe education is what they need. Yeah, truly it has not been managed very well. Not that the mallams are in charge, it just what they preach to their followers that make them lose interest in education. They are not encouraging at all. I served in the north and I saw many things that b affled me. Their leaders need to do a lot cos they are sitting on a time bomb.
