We read the following concerning Pharaoh –
"And in very deed for this cause have I raised
thee up, for to show in thee my power; and
that my name may be declared throughout all
the earth" (Exodus 9:16). We know that God
also is said to have hardened his heart. How
do we explain this process to others, based on
our understanding of free will

There's a secret unknown to many yet; God can keep a man to make an example of him in the positive or the negative part of it. God knew Pharoah and He knew he wouldn't back down easily due to his stubborn nature. The concept here is simple; a stubborn man is fuelled by stubbornness the more so as to be made an example. The same was used on Judas Iscariot. He was greedy and had been a long time before meeting Jesus and he was fuelled by a greater greed which mapped out God's plan, just like Pharoah mapped out God's plan as well.

so the pheroh was a sturborn man then god made matters worse by hardening his heart more, i thought men had freewill.. whose fault was this exactly when the pheroh was just a pawn in the game ?
