Election observers from the U.S. and UK who monitored the presidential and National Assembly elections in Rivers said on Sunday that they had concerns about the conduct of the election in the state.

Miss Jennifer Lynne, the Executive Director, Contact Project, a U.S.-based organisation, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that the observers monitored the election in six local government areas.

She said the observers observed challenges in the area of availability and security of result sheets.

‘’ In addition, as widely reported, we observed severe challenges due to dysfunctional card readers, causing lengthy delays, voter denial and reporting irregularities.’’

Lynne said events that took place in the areas visited would lead to questioning the validity of the results from Rivers.

So far as oyibo is involved, they will only severely escalate whatever is happening with inflammatory words and skewed reporting. Beware of them and their ways, biko.

oh yes this is why the Governor has been running up and down in Western Media crying parallel government. This has been the plan all along. They think we forgot that USA predicted the country would be plunged into war they have tried it all from ceasing to buy our oil to refusing Ebola drugs and the worst, blocking the sale of weapons to fight Boko Harem. They should continue that trick in the middle east it will not work in the Giant of Africa!

She isn't far from wrong I think. Too many negative news from the state since yesterday-the disenfranchisement of some electorates, reported malpractices ,the ongoing protest and unrest in the the state too.
Jega is currently speaking about it in a press conference as so many other bodies have raised concerns about the validity of results. He says it is being investigated and a decision will be reached soon.I personally think there was no free, fair or credible election in that state.
