Niger-delta What Next by 500samuel(m): 12:59pm On Apr 01, 2015 |
it is now clear and evident that Nigeria is not united and has never been. Nigeria was never amalgamated but forcefully put together by the colonialist. The northerners always want to dominate, the westerners don't know what is happening and the easterners don't know what they are doing in Nigeria. The eventualities and happenings before and after the recently concluded presidential election is a crystal clear indication that Nigeria is being dominated by one ethnic bloc. There are a plethora of issues which arose in the course and out of the election which must be sufficiently addressed. One of such is the issue of underage voting and its constitutionality. I think it is not just unimaginable but is a direct and outright contravention of the Nigerian constitution and so this issue should be looked into and adequately addressed. Another issue is that of the probing of the Riverstate election which was agitated for by the APC. The APC electronically called for the probing of the Riverstate election which was immediately granted by the INEC(jega) on the grounds that there was really no election conducted in Riverstate and that the margin of win on the side of the PDP is relatively too high but in States like kano, katsina,Kaduna and jigawa where same results were gotten in favour of the APC, no probe was agitated for. Just this afternoon a letter of petition was filed by the PDP to the office of the inec chairman but was discountenanced. This goes a long way to show how compromised, bias and tribalistic Jega really is.if there will be any probing, those northern States should be probed too. I am really pissed and disappointed and if this makes me tribalistic then so be it because our northern counterparts are not really giving me much of an option. it is clear that the APC planned the rigging of the election afore time. Therefore i support the motion for the election petition vehemently. My fellow Niger-deltans,my brothers and sisters I am of the opinion that Nigeria should divide,we should split! That I know is the only solution to our Niger-delta and indeed minority problem. A treaty lasts a hundred years(1914-2015 ) and so Nigeria is once again ripe for division. pls my Niger-Delta youths let us not make the same mistake our elders made. its time for the emancipation of the Niger-delta, posterity will never forgive us if we continue like this. I want to use this medium to commend our hon. minister Godsday Orubebe for his courage and his undivided loyalty to the Niger-Delta and for standing for the truth.I want to say thank you and God bless you are a real son of the soil and I also want to say that I am truly proud of you. The people of Niger-Delta are behind you all the way!!! God bless Nigeria, God bless our struggle, God bless Goodluck Ebele Jonathan!! Goodluck to GMB,I want him to implement the CHANGE he advocated. 1 Like |
