You will expect me to say President Jonathan is, but no - by him conceding to defeat he set an incredible example for struggling African quasi-democracies. In actual fact, the biggest looser is Femi Fani Kayode. This is why:

Femi is not the first person to jump ship from one party to another, but the reason his appears to be very different is because he was extremely vocal on both sides. Femi attacked so many personalities in the APC, called them murderers, blood suckers, islamists, gays and sponsors of Boko Haram. He even went as far as calling Fashola an slowpoke and unintelligent.

The truth is Femi, is the biggest loser. He lacks any form of political weight or credibility. In the eyes of the Nigerian public he will always be viewed as a cocaine addict, a political and manly prostitute, and a shameless man who speaks from both sides of his mouth. In the eyes of the political class he will remain one of those "useless" politicians that have not clout, not weight and will only do damage! Had he remained in APC, things would have looked different for him.

With Buhari's win Femi is politically finished, even though he may try to come back to APC, he will ALWAYS remain a political light weight. His career is finished and he should take a vacation with the money he got from GEJ and forget about any prominent role in Nigeria's politics.


I am happy he leased "CramJones" back to the APC, for his wanton whimsical tendencies will NEVER be wiped out from the memory of Nigerians.

Lesson to be learned by all this: Do not always go for ready-made. Be prepared to take risks, even if there has been no history of success with those risks. There are always firsts. APC is the first political party to wrestle power from a ruling party in Nigeria. Above all NEVER EVER give up. Buhari lost 3 times, he was persistent, he was resilient, he learned fast from his failures and short comings, he took advice he believed and he made it. No matter what NEVER EVER GIVE UP. Believe in yourself and not the statistics.
