I need the recipe for Ifokore. Am married to an Ijebu man
and that is his best meal

it is called ikokore and not ifokore

Ingredients:
Water yam or isu ikokore
Dried fish shrimps prawns crayfish etc
Dried hot pepper
Palm oil
Salt and maggi to taste



Preparation:
Search for a good yam. If u scratch the water yam or isu ikokore and its white then its good. Best use dried fish , prawns ,crayfish etc. Grate yam. wash and debone fish. Put water on fire add dried pepper and let it boil add all the fish and maggi.then add the grated yam in small balls to the mixture then let it boil and never cover the pot again.u can break the balls if they are too big , add palm oil and salt lastly and let it simmer turn it with a wooden spoon or stick to let the mixture be uniform.
