You cannot compare Zimbabwe to Nigeria. Zimbabwe is just 13 million. So Mugabe can afford to muzzle the citizenry with his Security agencies not in the most populous nation in Africa. Moreover, Many big names with political clouts have publicly distanced themselves from Gej on the score of his reactions to issues of national importance. Furthermore, only a few military officers could have supported him-He knew that and so he had to concede the defeat. Although, I salute him for realizing this and sticking to it.

We shall never witness war or civil unrest in this nation (Amen)

God Bless the Federal republic of Nigeria

Jonathan will always be a source of inspiration to leaders in the future .

I have one wish and that wish is to meet this man one day and bow down before him because he gave the Nigerian people a power they never had .

Any leader from any region can't take us back to that era where an incumbent must remain even when the people don't want him would end up like a fool.
GOODLUCK EBELEMI JONATHAN DID IT FOR US.

I SALUTE HIS COURAGE.

ICC can't do nothing without the people. I have been saying this but the idiiots on NL don't get it. As long as he's still the president, there's nothing they can do. Zimbabwe is a sovereign state. So is Nigeria.

If Jona had decided to be despotic, there's nothing anybody outside nigeria can do about it. They can only use the people to unsettle their leaders before they can move in.

There are so many cases. Syria, North Korea, Russia, Cuba etc.
lol.. buh many folks hea do not appreciate wat GEJ did dey will rather hope he caused war..... esp some hate filked APC supporters..

by this i mean Buhari just lost his 2nd term bid for the presidential Election to GEJ would he have gone so smoothly ?
I seriously doubt this.

Unfortunlately you're not paying attention to details and here is one that will put you through.

The last constitutional amendment which Jonathan has already sanctioned requires that if a sitting President dies or simply can't be the President due to some constitutional hitches ,the vice President must conduct election after three months .

My friend your South West just committed a political suicide and the SE and the SS would be more them happy to screw them nicely when the chips are down unless the political poles shifts again due to unseen circumstances ,go figure.

GEJ was that kinda man that was going to concede defeat if he lossed. With or without pressure from any quarter. That was one of his good sides, humilty. At the same time it was his archilles heel, his greatest undoing. He didn't have a ruthless side

GEJs grandmaster plan when it became clear he would lose the election even after forging the Rivers result was to unleash FFK and Orubebe to destroy the electoral process so that military would take over the country because he was afraid of facing prosecution from Buhari. Unfortunately the plan failed as Jega did not play along to the tape. Obasanjos informants in the military told him of the coup plan and Obj quickly informed the US and EU who in turn forced GEJ to concede defeat. It is an open secret now and Muhammadu Buhari is angry about this and that was why he later told GEJ he has nothing to fear...

Only in Yoruba land do they give up or surrender like that, Yoruba people are used to giving up and surrendering to go home and dance owambe (they killed abiola, Ige, Williams etc.), and yorubas just said "IPA PIN", went home and danced owambe and raped their wives, so I understand you. Other people NEVER give up, Jonathan only chose to do the right and honourable thing.

* U also Guaranteed 35%

appointment of 16 Ministers and
11 Ambassadors etc. *Refused
the violation of the moral fabric
of the Nigerian society even in
the face of international pressure
by refusing to legalise same sex

Goodluck Jonathan, polio was
reduced and by next year, like
Ebola the WHO will declare
Nigeria polio free. *Life

The Agricultural Transformation
Agenda has helped increase the
availability of food and food
security. No wonder the
December season didn't affect
prices of food stuff. Again even
with the drop in the crude oil
earnings, inflation only rose by
0.2%. *Under Goodluck Jonathan,
the economy of Nigeria became
number 27 globally and it is on
the path to become the 20th best
economy in 2020. *GEJ made
Nigeria Best and biggest
economy in Africa and one of the
highest destination of global for
FDI. *When he started cassava
bread they mocked him. Today
we are topping the chat in
cassava export. *The Automotive
industry is back again. *Removed
subsidy and established SURE-P.
*Established YouWin and GWin
thus creating employment and
empowerment for the youths. *
Fighting corruption at the port,
fertiliser and ghost workers and
pensioners. N200 billion saved.
*Fighting corruption starts with
free information. The Freedom of
information Act was passed into
Law. * Procured 4 warships for
the Navy. This is unprecedented.
The Military had no equipment
but with the arrival of new war
planes and ammunition, * The
government has reconstructed
the several airports in Nigeria.

Amend and repeal it and watch yourselves become a laughing stock.

You think Jonathan left because he can't sustain any form of violence and economic sabotage that would plunge your freeloading oshofree states into chaos with the Nigerian economy on a life support ?
