Just last year, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook forced all Facebook mobile app users to switch to a separate standalone messenger app. just yesterday, Facebook has launched a standalone website for Facebook messenger that is identical to the mobile Facebook app and they host this on www.messenger.com

We are one of the first to test this app in Nigeria and elsewhere. Initially the website responded with a server error message which indicated that the request its getting now its very high from all over the world. The website later opened with an interface that is similar to the mobile app.

The popularity of this site is growing. As I write, its Alexa’s ranking is 4,667 globally and its yet to get a Google page rank. We anticipate it will eventually climb to the first 100 websites in the world in the coming months.
