Just heard that the APC governorship aspirant has been declared the governor elect of lagos state after a hard fought battle at the polls but I noticed the continued declined of the popularity of the party in power since the last 4 years. In 2011, the Acn which metamorphosed into APC, won the governorship election with abut 1.2 million votes but the party won with only 150000 votes giving the PDP an advantage of 87% over the 2011 election. The same scenario is playing out in the state house of assembly where the APC has lost 5 LGAs and constituents back to back in the last 2 weeks. Are we going to see a PDP governor in 2019, time will tell.

How about the 5 LGAs lost to the PDP in the last 2 weeks. The fact remains these are major loopholes to be exploited by any serious party in the next major elections. It will be hard for APC to continue with impunity like before knowing fully well that any major misstep might cost them re- election. The PDP fielding a popular candidate with no blemish might cost the APC the state house although that depends on the performance of the governor elect.

Don't worry APC governors are performers there will be no need for PDP in Lagos for another 20years.

Yoruba people love some of the PDP candidates that's why they gave their votes.
