Following the demise of her grandmother and predecessor, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, Folashade Tinubu Ojo assumed the position of iyaloja general amidst fanfare but unknowingly to market men and women in Lagos, what they tagged ‘a tyrant’ has taken over the mantle of leadership.
Against her grandmother respective manner, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s stalwart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu according to reliable sources, is managing the activities of Lagos markets in a shoddy manner. Some markets leaders in Lagos tagged her case to be that of “Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.”
However, it appears that there has been general dissatisfaction over the way she runs things and has been tagged a tyrant and oppressor by some of the market traders. She equally has been accused of being corrupt and act wickedly irrespective of whose ox is gored. Recently she was accused of sending some of her dreadful thugs to beat up the Babaloja mercilessly over his complaints on the deteriorating condition of the association that is at the brink of collapse under her oppressive rule. As if that was not enough, at another instance; she sent her thugs to also beat up the Iyaloja of mile12, Alhaja Iyabowale.
