Sometimes, I have this weird feeling that punch news lies in most of their reports. I mean when and where did they get this report from? Who says things like "we want to go back to our country and develop it". It sounds familiar to what is being thrown around here in nigeria. Other reports from news outlets ropes in lines like "out reporter in SA" or "one of the displaced people spoke to us". But punch gets a text from "Itunu Bodunrin" that doesn't even sound nigerian nah and it sounds like gossip not investigated report. You only hear such on punch news. nigerian government should exit it's citizens from there please. Apparently. This is what everyone wants, stay in your locality...Nigerians feel the same towards other nigerians. We should respect that when it comes to other countries. Even someone mentioned on nairaland that's it's the igbos that they're chasing away not yorubas in SA. Previous govt caused all these, helping ungrateful persons in a bid to act big brother. I like how GEJ snubbed them until it got to the arms deal

When i was a kid whenever we hear that someone lives in southafrica the first thing that comes to mind is drugs, this is because most nigerians there sells hard drugs but i keep wondering where they get the drugs because i know we don't produce it here in nigeria so it is safe to say that they got the drugs from south africans so it is southafricans that developed the crime that is destroying their country. |

uzokasi1964: they get the drugs from brazil my love. Anyway not all nigerians who stay in south africa are drug dealers. Most have good businesses and are also academics. Just like any other countries, its not as if south africans are saints, bcoz dey too do have deir own criminals. I wud say the reason for xhenophobia is greed. The financially stable south africans dnt seem to care abt foreign nationals. Nigerians or other foreign nationals who stay in good areas can agree with dis, as there has not been any attacts on dem. De parts which are being attacked mostly are de parts which are filled with poverty. So these people are taking out their poverty on us. We r not the ones who said dey must not b bzns minded. Most foreigners in south africa own bzns, and south africans are scared of competition. They r lazy and always expect jobs and money to come from heaven |
