Probably no one would challenge the statement that a good night sleep is a fundamental component of maintaining good health. Some people view sleep as a low priority, the truth is that you suffer for it the next day. You are likely to become more irritable and sometimes even depressed due to not getting enough sleep.

According to scientific theory, learning continues during sleep due to the restorative function it has for the brain during sleep. Any learning that happen during the day get put into place at night because while sleeping you brain become consolidated. Not having that period of rest will impair learning. Getting enough sleep probably serve some function to stabilize your emotions.

Ask yourself, how much sleep is enough for me? Experts give 8 hours of sleep but some people have different sleeping needs. For that reason, you should strive for quality sleep. But how can this quality sleep be achieved, especially those with insomnia? Below are some suggestions.

*Before going to bed, take a warm bath or show
*Do not do strenuous exercise before bed time but do moderated exercise several times during the week
*Your bed room should be quiet, dark and ventilated
*Established regular sleep rhythm by trying to get up the same time every morning

In view of the observable health benefits, be prudent and put sleep high on your list of priority.
