I don't knw hw you fathomed this idea, but according to Section 136, subsection 2 of the 1999 Constitution, "Where the persons duly elected as President and Vice President die or are unable for any reason whatsoever to assume office before the inauguration of the National Assembly, INEC shall immediately conduct an election for a President and Vice President."
