I use a dell inspiron 15. Recently about 2 weeks ago, I noticed that I cannot upload files online, open a file from an application or even save a new file. I can only modify and save existing files. If want to create a new file, I will have to copy an existing one, rename it, modify it and save it. Please help me out.

Sounds like some of your operating system files are corrupt. What OS are you using?

Insert your windows 8 disc into your disc drive and reboot your computer.
With the disc in the drive, u'll see a prompt like "press any key to boot from cd" do that and then it boots from the disc.
So, we can take it from there.
