PDP Chieftains Ask Jonathan To Prepare for 2019, Want National Working Committee Sacked Immediately

Some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party have called on President Goodluck Jonathan to start preparing to run again for election in 2019.
The group, which held a high level meeting last week, expressed the view that it was the party, not the President, who failed in the elections. They blamed his defeat on the refusal of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to work assiduously to help him win the re-election. Our sources stated that the Governor of Cross River state, Liyel Imoke, has been tapped to become the new chairman of the People's Democratic party in a bid to re-organize the party on behalf of president Jonathan take over of the party hierarchy.
...several of the NWC sources stated that the next few days will prove interesting as some of them are willing to give a full account of the fraud perpetrated by President Jonathan and his men, both financially and generally, with regards to the internal rigging that took place in several states across the federation. One of the sources told SaharaReporters that the party actually won 11 states in the presidential election, claiming that in at least four states, figures were simply concocted and presented as election figures.

As at today, PDP has no 'notable' Presidential material.

GEJ is not in the mould of a leader the party needs, neither does the 'sleeping' Liyel Imoke fit into the shoes of an opposition party chairman.

I would have said Sule Lamido should be made the party chairman, but he has shown that he is too impatient with his ambition and a loud-mouth with little action.

The best bet for the PDP is to inject young, brillant and seasoned people into their fold while these old men lay back and run the party from behind the scene. For PDP to win another election in this country; they need to re brand and change everything about them, including the leadership.

Whosoever come up with this idea of Jonathan coming back in 2019 is evil and mischievous.
GEJ is not cut for politics or designed for no1 positions; though providence has a way of pushing him into position.
They should please let this man enjoy his presidential pension and not push him to start another money wasting exercise.

Meanwhile, PDP should forget 2019. They will have to merge with other party and re-brand in 2023 to be relevant.
