What is discipline?

Discipline is the practice of training people to obey rules and orders and punishing them if they do not. It can be seen as training one's mind or controlling one's behavior in an area of activity where necessary. Discipline as a concept is also the ability to control one's behavior or the way one lives.


METHODS OF CORRECTING A CHILD IN TERMS OF DISCIPLINE.

There are three methods in which a child can be corrected in terms of discipline, these includes:

1. LOVE WITHDRAWAL: A method of discipline in which a parent withholds attention or love from the child.

2. POWER ASSERTION: A method of discipline in which a parent attempts to gain control of the child or the child's resources.

3. INDUCTION: A method of discipline in which a parent uses reasoning and explanation of the consequences of the child's action.
