Hello friends,

This is a thread where we come to share our experience with the Nigerian postal service (NIPOST).

Nipost has undergone transformations recently, especially in the way and manner they do business . A lot of Nigerians have benefited from this transformation.

How be it, I do not claim it is all wonderful experience for everybody.
I know some people may have one or two "not to good" experience , but am sure we have a lot of good testimonies from Nigerians .

So let's here your experience, so we can help drive this transformation of the Nigerian postal service.

I will be sharing news on Nipost, you can also ask questions, an I will do my best to answer based on the much I know or I will refer you to Nipost customer service officers for more information.

You can also make recommendations, give ideas of what more could be done to make NIPOST great.

Thanks

Bethel Ukazu
The NIPOST AMBASSADOR
Good day,
Please I sent my application documents to Germany on the 27th of April through Nipost office in Enugu state (the one at Okpara Avenue by the railway). I was not given any tracking no. And the school I sent it to, hasn't gotten the documents. What do I do?

Good day,
I just started my service year in Akwa Ibom and a friend told me I can use Nipost to ship my household properties which I used while in school down here since I can't afford to buy new ones, (these include mattress, fridge, clothes boxes and other things). Is this possible sir and how much will it cost, also how long would it take to be delivered to me?

Hi, am a girl, not "sir".
You can use Nipost to do that, cos my girlfriend sent her stuff through Nipost from Niger state to Lag after her youth service last month. It took up to 2 weeks or so. You ask them before sending.
I sent my documents to Germany and it it took 3 weeks (14 working days) to get there. Goodluck!!

Friends, your help is needed please. I sent a letter through NIPOST (Registered mail) on the 28th of April to Canada and the mail has not been delivered till date. I have used all the tracking sites I know but I keep getting the same message "Inserted to bag". I've called NIPOST customer care severally but no positive result. I've also contacted the recipient (WES) in Canada in which they confirmed they've not seen anything. Any advise on this matter?

Hello,

I sent 4 letters since 22 / May ( registered mail ) and I've got the tracking numbers, but it's not giving any result on the NIPOST website, and even if I track it on ( Trackingmore.com ) website it's giving the result :

Your tracking info was not found, Possible reasons:
1: The carrier hasn't accepted your package yet.
2: The carrier hasn't scanned and entered your package tracking information into their system yet.
3: Your tracking number is incorrect or invalid.
4: Your tracking number has expired and removed from carrier's system.

any advise??!!

Hello everyone, I have an order from China, it is my first time to use the tracking app, so I don't understand it well,,
when it says; "'Receive item at post office'" does that mean that my order is now at the post office and I can walk there to claim it?
cos I didn't receive any calls from Nipost.

It is not advisable use First Class Mail to send international packages. That is why it starts with LC which means local mail. It stops tracking when it leaves the U.S.
Ask the recepient to go down to the post office nearest to the address on the envelope and ask for it. Let them go with means of identification.

First class mail does not track outside US. That's why it is the cheapest.
Go to the post office and ask for your package.
Good luck o!

Can the parkage be stop by my auntie or van she go there to order for another tracking number... And do you mean the post office want to share you parkage with you and is it trackable??
Re: MY NIPOST EXPERIENCE - Nigerian Postal Service by Yampotatocarrot(m): 8:38am On Aug 15, 2016
Okay everyone's story differs.
I used NIPOST to send my transcript to Owerri (from Nasarawa). Apart from the sallah or moon-sighting public holiday which extended d days cos they said they wont open, it got there on time (about 3-4 days excluding weekends. Plus they even called d lecturer to inform her that her package had arrived.

My big bros also sent a package (letter) to U.K and t got there within 10working days.... yes u heard me right, 10 working days, plus their customer service number which I got from one other thread on nairaland was wonderful. The man at the other end of the line was just too "Customer-friendly". God bless him

Good job Nipost

...it just complicated...A Nipost person told me the item can be held back by USPS staffs because it not registered, which mean they also steal parcel in the US..
