Respite may have come the way of Lagos residents as eight vessels with various types of petroleum products arrived Lagos ports yesterday lending credence to Federal Government’s assertion that marketers are holding Nigerians to ransom over refined products.

One would be wondering how the vessels would
be arriving Nigeria two days after the government
paid N156 billion to marketers when it would
naturally take weeks or months to bring in such
cargoes from overseas.

But according to a bulletin by the Nigerian Ports
Authority (NPA), the petroleum products that
came in include base oil, kerosene and petrol. The
publication further revealed that three other ships
also arrived with rice in bags and containers.

It said that NPA was expecting the arrival of 27
ships to the Lagos ports between May 4 and 30.

The publication said 13 of the expected ships are
to sail in with containers, while eight others are
expected to arrive with food products. The food
products, it disclosed, include rice, bulk sugar,
bulk salt, frozen fish and bulk wheat. General
cargoes are to be brought in four ships, while one
ship each would will sail in with vehicles and kerosene.

Nigerians have for over a week been jolted by
petroleum scarcity, which reportedly arose from
the strike embarked upon by oil marketers protesting over N156 billion debts owed them by government. But only last Thursday, the Finance

Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, paid the said
debt while urging the marketers not to hold
Nigerians to ransom. Even as at the weekend,
there were still controversy over the actual debts
outstanding in their favour.

That is why the Licences given to these "marketers" should not be renewed when it expired.
I can't fathom why some cabals will hold over 180mil Nigeria and the largest economy to ransom.

They should practically be punished by denying them renewal of marketing licences.

Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish.

chai! Nigerians, eating bone in the midst of flesh.
Lacking fuel in the midst of abundance of Oil. We now queue for hours to buy fuel.

GOD that neither ride powerbike nor drive a ferrari before He catch a thief will deal with these Cabals running us down. THEY ARE "Cloud without Rain", a "Well Without Water".

GOD, NA UR HAND WE DEY O.

E GO BETA!!!

Isn't Nigeria supposed to be the 7th highest producer of crude oil in the entire world? Sixteen years of PDP later, we are rejoicing when ships laden with crude oil products arrive at our ports.

25 days to go. I LOVE CHANGE!!!!

This speaks volume of what extent these "Evil" marketers can go. Imagine, holding up PMS to teach the government a lesson to "pay-as-at-when-due" when in reality, the gov isn't feeling the pain of the ROW but the masses are practically the victims of the fight between the "Elephant and the Wooly Mammoth".

This shows the "stink, rotteness, greediness" in the oil sector.

Ah! So many crimes are being committed in the oil sector with no check.

Everyone of una "MILKING,SUCKING,SQUEEZING,SIPHONING" the Country dry and still taking us to ransom, if una no repent and vomit that thing wey una swallow, AHHHH!!!! Satan will Kiss you.

This shouldn't be a news to us all had it been we have proper govt in place. Does that mean the government is so weak to get rid of the so called "CABALS" holding the whole populace on ransome? What's the essence of having a huge oil reserve and have no refinery to refine the so called products. Make the oil dry up maybe the government go get sense small.
