Academic and commercial activities were on Thursday paralyzed in the University of Ibadan and its environs, when students of the institution took to the street to protest what they called the lackadaisical attitude of the University health center causing the death of their colleague. The students blocked the Mokola-Ojoo road causing trafficking gridlock and forcing business owners around Agbowo, the university environ to stay away.

It was reported that Alaran Musliudeen Mayowa, 200 level student of Human Kinetics suffered an asthmatic attack while watching a football Match between Barcelona and Bayern Munich yester night, but was allegedly not attended to at the school clinic for not producing his treatment card, until he died. As at the time of filing this report, Authorities of the University is yet to release an official statement on the incident as they could not be reached.

I understand the students' reason. School card or not, the deceased should have been attended to.

I hope the school has a reasonable explanation for this angry

RIP to the deceased sha.
