The goat is angry and stamping its feet does that stop the owner from arranging its funeral?

True or False

100% true and we would hope some, always driven by sentiments and ego, would learn valuable lessons from this yet I seriously doubt this. The bottom line, which is also the commonsensical approach most Yorubas adopted, is that all major Nigerian ethnic groups need each other as long as we legally remain constituent parts of Nigeria with full power to determine who gets what politically.

Jonathan was reminded of the danger of the ethnic politics he was playing many, many times by many, many Nigerians. Unfortunately for him, he was surrounded by many ethnic jingoists from the SE and SS with scores to settle against the Yorubas, like Clarke et al, who kept telling him he did not need to worry about the Yorubas and could get away with marginalizing, ignoring and even "punishing" them. The calculation was that GEJ should instead focus on throwing the 'a.b0k1s some 'Carrots' as a political strategy to secure his 2015 return to Aso Rock. What has now emerged, as the biggest lesson pragmatic folks will heed, is that a Nigerian President must not openly show disdain for any major Nigerian ethnic group while Nigeria remains a nation that conducts elections every 4 years that all ethnic groups are allowed to vote in.

The misrule of GEJ is, first and foremost, the major cause of his loss and downfall. Yet some clannish followers of GEJ added to the magnitude of his defeat with how they instigated him against the SW. Because of a primordial search for vendetta, they all acted as if the Yorubas would not be allowed to vote and thus have their say when the time is right as some of us warned would be the case when the SE and SS ethnic protagonist were at their loudest hurling insults against the Yorubas daily while GEJ watched with tacit approval. Well, the Chicken came home to roost and GEJ and his gang of thieves are all going home or perhaps to prison.

Just imagine if it was GMB who lost to GEJ in the SW by 600,000 votes. That's some 1.2 million votes less from the margin.
If that had been the case, it wouldn't have been difficult for PDP who found it easy to double votes from Delta State, to produce additional 1 million votes from the SS and the SE states.
GEJ would've won the election, had he won by 600000 in the SW. Take it or leave it.
Thank god someone with a basic knowledge of mathematics is here. If southwest did not vote for buhari, most of those votes would have gone to Jonathan. For example, in Lagos, Jonathan would have won by more than 1 million votes like he did in 2011.
The slowpoke you were responding to does not know that Jonathan could have potentially had 90 % of the south west votes as it is NOT POSSIBLE TO VOTE FOR BUHARI AND JONATHAN AT THE SAME TIME.

EACH BUHARI VOTE IN THE SOUTH WEST WAS A POTENTIAL JONATHAN VOTE WHICH TRANSLATES TO APPROXIMATELY 6 MILLION VOTES!

Jonathan lost because of that kind of reasoning.
I've given up on PDP fans.

It is simple

IN THE SW AGAINST BUHARI

in 2011 he was

+ 2.4 million

in 2015 he was

- 600000

That is a swing of 3 million votes

No long analysis

You are an Illiterate and not capable of complex logic.

Let me explain the numbers to you
The voting pattern in 2011 and 2015 was exactly the same everywhere but the SW in 2011

In 2011 http://www.nigerianmuse.com/20110419040622zg/sections/general-articles/details-of-2011-presidential-election-results-in-nigeria

GEJ got 2.7 million votes in the SW andGMB got 300000 a margin of 2.4

Let us asssume that in 2015 in the SW they got equal votes mathematically GEJ has "lost" 2.4 million vote. I do not expect someone who wakes up to drink all day to understand such basic arithmetic.

It is called a swing .

If GEJ lost 1 million votes to KOWA party he has lost 1 million votes BUT if he loses 1 million votes to Buhari the effect is the loss of "2million votes that is a concept you are too dim to grasp
Now the fact is they did not have equal votes he actually LOST in the SW this time by about 600000 votes so the actual swing was about 3 million which is the entire margin by which he lost the election.

The issue of swing is independent of turnout because it would be argued that low turnout in the region if that occurred is PART of the swing. ie people who are no longer motivated to come out to vote for him.

How are things in your "Flat"?

Without SW,North nigeria is nothing.
Take for instance, and from the last election SE/SE had no say...as both SW and North defined who won.
Shekena grin
