BERNARD “BERNIE” SANDERS : I know most folks here haven't heard of this guy,but he is no new-comer still. He is the former mayor of burlington, which happens to be the largest city in vermont. He is widely applauded for his approachable and people oriented style of leadership. He is also a one time senator. Best sources say that he is coming out as an independent candidate.




DR BEN CARSON :Am as shocked as you are, but jokes apart, the respected neurosurgon at John Hopkins has expressed interest in becoming the most powerful man in the world. Most american political observers see this as a huge joke. First, he is strongly religous (seventh-day adventist) and once compared homosexuality to bestiality, he has no actual executive leadership position and experience. Like obama and president jonathan, he also has an inspiring rags to riches story, but a sizable portion of americans believe that is not a qualification.






CARLY FIORINA : Ms Fiorina will be the only female fighting for the republican ticket at the next elections. She has carved a niche for herself by recently attacking and comparing herself to hillary clinton. She supports same sex marriage ( a plus for an american politician ), she is pro-business but tends to over project her identity as a female success story.





SENATOR MARCO ANTONIO RUBIO : US political observers see him as an optimistic, foward looking conservtive who can unite the republican party. Rubio, will no doubt have it easy with the hispanics as compared to other republicans, thanks to his spanish accent. Rubio is 43, and sees himself as the torch-bearer for the next generation of republicans.

As for the other contenders, don't know much about some of them. Apart from Hilary, I see republicans taking back the seat, infact it might likely happen even with Hilary in the contest because many Americans believe Obama didn't meet up with his promises of hope and change, they probably want to give power back to the original builders of America. Jeb Bush is missing in that list, he's a very strong contender too
